Again, she is a rebel agent who recruited members and supplied weapons to the Ghost crew. Kinda a big deal for Hera.

And Maul is the former apprentice of Darth Sidious, surely that little detail promise a future confrontation between the two of them.

I'm sure this may have been said already but if Vader does face Maul and actually defeats him once and for all I could see that making sense to the character arc of Anakin/Vader because if he did that he really would have destroyed all the Sith. Personally I wanted Obi-wan to do it in the Clone Wars when they brought him back but I think Vader being the one to do it would make just as much sense. I'm just hoping they make the most of Maul before they end him but that's not really relevant to this thread in particular.

I wanted Anakin to fight Maul in TCW. It seemed a wasted opportunity after bringing him back. The whole Anakin V Dooku Duel number 1001 and Maul V Obi-wan Duel number 205 was getting a bit boring to say the least.

Obi-Wan and Maul only had two duels in TCW. That hardly seems to be a lot.

The only thing I miss is the probable duel between Maul and Ahsoka in the Siege of Mandalore. That would have been glorious, not to mention absolutely appropriate for the last lightsaber battle of the show.

Probable? I doubt it. Maul would've killed Ahsoka.

Maybe they believe he died again.

They should have known from the first time he 'died' that there was a chance he'd come back again. No matter how many times they kill him Maul keep coming back like Kenny.

Yeah, it would be a rehash of TPM all over again. "I could have sworn I killed him" *shakes head*

She was as good as a Jedi Knight by then, I'm sure the duel wouldn't have been as one-sided as you seem to believe.

I wand Sidious to believe it. Just to see how he reacts to the news that Maul is back.

I wonder if we will ever see Vader again especially because all the current inquisitors are dead

"Anakin Skywalker was weak. So I destroyed him."

"Your son is gone. He was weak and foolish like his father. So I destroyed him."

    Interesting parallel.

My take on Vader in this episode: He didn't want to kill Ahsoka. First he gives her the chance to surrender, then he reminds her that revenge is not the Jedi way (to discourage her from attacking him). He throws her over a cliff which is usually not fatal. And then, well, you can see him steel himself for killing her because he doesn't see another choice.

Really enjoyed his portrayal here, the only thing to criticise is that he doesn't look like Sebastian Shaw. He should be pale and have fuller cheeks.

Vader had some GREAT lines here:

    "I'm not afraid of you."

"Then you will die, braver than most."

"Anakin Skywalker was weak, I destroyed him."

"I won't leave you, not again."

    "Then you will die."

    This.

I would not be surprised if he doesn't appear in season three.

    This Vader

doesn't look anything like this Vader, just seven years later. Really felt that the animation was missing.

Well the only real issue I have is the eyebrows, and even then that's a bit nitpicky, considering that apparently it was due to budget constraints (it's difficult to animate a human face without eyebrows). I don't have an issue with the paleness because there was a lot of red light there, which would affect how red his skin looks.

Yeah, and the Death Star hangar had bright white lighting, which would have also had an effect.

Batman in the comics looks nothing like those in live action movie, too. OMG outrage!

Yeah the precedent was already set by the films, as ImNotAStarWArsFanboy mentioned.

Jedi Knight Fett wouldn't the inquisitors being dead make him MORE liking to show up? Since he has no grunts to do his dirty work? I prefer Vader hunting Jedi>grunts personally. They dropped the ball with Grievous in TCW, don't hide this Jedi hunter's hunts please. SHOW don't tell. I don't wanna hear Grievous/Vader killed a lot of Jedi in their times, I wanna SEE it!

Also since that guy is the 8th brother, he's most likely not the last of em since 3/4 are dead, I think he's alive though. We see someone survive the SAME FALL later in the episode+his face was never seen and the death, Like Ahsoka's was vague and I think he's alive, same with Ahsoka! :D

Great episode. He even said what Kylo said about killing his pre darth side self because they were ""weak"". Anyone else notice that?

Maul and Eighth Brother may have had the same fall, but honestly which do you think is more likely to survive that anyway? I don't find it surprising that a novice Inquisitor dies and Maul, a highly trained ex-Sith, survives.

Although interestingly, in an earlier version of the script Eighth Brother did survive the fall, only to be turned to stone by the Temple / battlestation when it activated.
