    uh, Manu, I'm deeply sorry.

But I can only talk for my own FanForce. I didn't want to hurt anyone, especialy not you.
Do you really think I would use such methods to get the meeting to Germany????
In the end it doesn't really matter if the meeting is organised by one or ten people. I think Tiago did a great job for Lissabon, you know, I was there ;)
I didn't have any I idea that anyone could get hurt by that sentence.
I'm sure you will do your very best to organise the meeting!
And when the Seville will be voted as host you can count on me to help you whatever way I can!

And I'm hurt too, you know?! You've forgotten my birthday ;)

    Friends again? :)

We've always been friends, and we will keep being, Jule. But I wanted you to know the effect of that sentence on me.

One thing that really hurted me is that you have no idea. It is truth than in Stockohlm I said probably I'd be the only on this in Spain, but now I see like I might have been wrong. I yet don't know, of course. And actually, of course it is important if the meeting is organized by one or en person, but hey, I hope you will trust me.

I knew the candidacy of our countries will make us reach this point.

As I've said before, I prefer you to organize the meeting than having problems between us. There're a lot of people in Germany that means a lot to me.

I see no need to talk about that any longer in a public thread. Sorry.

But just let me tell everyone that I was simply talking about my own FanForce and that I know from past meetings that one person alone had to organise the meeting.
It is absolutly true that I have no idea what is going on in the spanish FanForce. That's why I only talked about my own FanForce.
I'm not trying any mean tricks to make poeple think that Manu isn't able to mobilise his FanForce and I'm sure they would do a brilliant job in building up a meeting.

I'm sorry to pester everyone with this. If there is anything more to say about this Manu and I will write pms.

    Well.....

How many Fan Forcers went to the last meeting?

And why couldnt we organize in some kind of people association, and plan a convention-like meeting?

If is just me having this thought, i will automatically shut my pie hole!

What is the candidate city in germany?

I think the FanForce FAQ even says something about how FF is just supposed to be people meeting each other, period. And the way we do meetings was always like this. it's tried and true ;)
a convention ... well, you could try one, but I (and most of the others, I think) don't have a problem with estimating that it's almost impossible.

    I mean... who are we?

Germany hasn't decided on a candidate city yet...

At the last meeting ( in Stockholm) we had 8 people coming from outside Sweden, and with the Swedish people who took part I estimate we were about 20 people, all in all. Not all the Swedish people were there at the same time, though.

Conventions are EXTREMELY exhausting to organise, from what I've heard from people who've tried. Also, the people organising a con won't have time for much else, like meeting people. And meeting people is all that FF is about, so it would kinda defeat the purpose. I like just meeting people and walking around, talking and doing fun stuff together. It does not need to be anything really special, it's so much fun just meeting people you usually just talk to on the net... :)

Seriously, let's leave it the way it is. Like Nina said, a meeting is about uhm... meeting ;) And if we have to organize such a big thing like a con, it's all but a meeting between all of us.

Sure you can try to organize a convention for FF Europe if you want, feel free to do that! FF Europe Con, perfect, if it works, it would be cool. But I want to have meetings like we had the last years, too. I don't wanna miss them! ;)

I am very jealous of the prop/replica collectors in the UK, who got six autograph signing Star Wars guests to show up to a prop party ... not even a regular convention!
The highest number of SW guests of any Swedish con so far has been two!

Sounds like fun, as long as I don't have to be the one deciding where to move the pieces... I'm well known for my inability to play chess. :p

I won't make a good teacher. I'd go "this goes there, this moves thus, now figure out yourself how to win"

I've actually played human chess before. It's really different and challenging. Lots of fun. :D

As for cricket, about all I know of that game is the name.
