Edmonton Official Games Night Mondays Thread

Firstly, let me thank Danny again for a great night, was fun to have a break from Epic Duels to play Cranium, even though we got whupped...

Secondly, welcome to the boards Darth Cynic. As Berkley said, the game itself is VERY easy to learn... if you are a Star Wars fan (which you obviously are) the learning curve is about 2 games at the most.

I realize that your age might limit you to things you can do, but you could always pop by for an hour or so, and have a quick game or two. Your parents are also MOST welcome to come as well, we have a VERY open policy for that type of thing. Personally I would prefer your parents came the first time or so, so that they could meet us and we could meet them, and they could see what type of people we are. Some parents are a bit wary about things like this, but once they get to know us, there usually isn't a problem. And of course our Open Door policy extends to whatever events and whenever they wish to come to a meeting, there are NO restrictions on access for anyone who wants to come to our meetings/get togethers.

And I am sure I speak for all of us in that we would love to have you come by one Monday, or even try to make it out for our next event/get together. Until then, may the Force be with you!!!

Well, my parents are, like you said, wary, but if I badger them about it they'll let me. It's at 6 o' clock, right?

 

I won't be attending this one, but count me in for the following week!

I foresee a future when I'll be there in town...and will be able to attend Monday game night.

Incidently, I also foresee that I'll be kicking a lot of your butts in Epic Duels.

This sucks. I have a major research paper due this week, and I doubt if I will be able to make it this week. This is definately not good.

School is better than working, except for the fact that you don't make any money, and it ties up your evenings and weekends, ensuring that you don't have a social life...

We usually order pizza, so if you are interested in that, bring a bit of cash with you. All other snacks you might want are also your responsibility (pop or chips) so that Danny doesn't have to provide them.

It might be three until about 7 Faye hasn't left the office yet so I will be there as soon as I drop Kit off at brownies.

Small crowd last night. Only 5 people showed up, but we still had fun I was the big winner I think with 5 games. Did anyone do better?

But anyways, hopefully a few more of you can make it out for the next one
