Get the greatest hits for Tupac. Any album with Hit Em Up on it is worth at least 2 and a half mics even if the rest was in Chinese.

Ah yeah, Greatest Hits I forgot about that one. Yeah, I think that would be good, thanks.

I can't BELIEVE no one called you out on this crap, db.

    wow Deception

    wow yourself

So yeah I sampled your voice, you was usin it wrong
You made it a hot line, I made it a hot song

    oh.

The World Is Yours > Dead Presidents 2

    The relevance to this is...?

Four albums in ten years n****? I could divide
That's one every let's say two, two of them ****s was due
One was - NAHHH, the other was "Illmatic"
That's a one hot album every ten year average

    oh.

    Jay cant count. 1994 - 2001 = 7 years.
Not to mention up until that point Jay has one hot album and 4 crap ones.

lol @ you knowing your stuff.

Reasonable doubt came out in '96, buddy. That means you can't count b/c 96-01 is 5 years [or 6 depending on how you look at it] Just like jay said:

"Use your - BRAAAAAAAIN! You said you been in this ten
I've been in it five - smarten up Nas"

    Nice try, tho.

    And ONE hot album?! Ha!

How bout Volume 1... In My Lifetime in '97? Ya. That's certified platinum.
How bout Volume 2... Hard Knock Life in '98? That's certified 4x platinum. And both of those were given those titles in '99. Imagine how much more have sold in the past 6 years. Well Ima tell you. 5x platinum in for Volume 1 in 2000.
Are you gonna tell me Hard Knock Life isn't one of the best tracks of modern rap? Hell, that album won Best Rap Album.
Then he gave us Volume 3... The Life and Times of Shawn Carter in '99. That sold half a million in the first week. Certified 2x platinum in 2000. ceritified 3x platinum in '01.
Then, he released The Dynasty Roc La Familia 2000. Certified 2x platinum that year.

THEN. After ALL OF THAT, he releases The Blueprint. That went platinum the next month.

I'm not even gonna START to list all the awards he won and or was nominated for during all that.

I'm leavin stuff out about those albums to. I can only say so much.

Next up was Unplugged. That's Jay Z from '96 to '01. If you're not pwned, I don't know who is.

Because you know who (who) did you know what (what)
with you know who (yeah) but just keep that between me and you for now

    oh.

That wasnt even a good diss until Superugly came out, and a diss is meant to be good when said, not 6 months later. Thats something not for the audience.

What? That wasn't a good diss to YOU until Super Ugly came out 'cause you didn't know what the hell he was talkin about. But how angry do you think Nas got? Hell, it got him to write Ether didn't it? He musta been pretty damn pissed.

    Ether > Takeover > Superugly

I'm not denying Ether is [probably] the best diss ever in rap, but Takeover came close. I think the vote on Hot 97 had Nas beating Jay by... 20%? Somethin like that. It was close. You take away Stillmatic and Takeover goes down as the best diss in modern rap. period.

Takeover is a good song because of Kanye's beat and he demolished Prodigy...but as a diss to Nas? ehhh

Thanks. I appreciate your opinion. It's too bad it's wrong.

lol @ Kanye admitting he has ghostwriters, dont get mad Deception.

    PPOR

And don't try and give me some bull about Nas' albums bein good. Jay Z killed him on that. You think any body goes to the store with any albums in mind of Nas' other than Illmatic and Stillmatic from that span? Maybe you, but not the average listener.

I'm a huge Nas fan, but I have to give this to Deception. Takeover was an excellent diss track. Just because Jay-Z is no Nas doesn't mean that he doesn't have the ability to lyrically hurt somebody.

MORE NON SENSE. What has Sales got to do with it? EVEN jay wasnt talking about sales. He was talking about quality. He said "one hot album every 10 year average". The Hot album being Illmatic. Which was nas' lowest selling.
The Volume albums quality music wise are a joke compared to Reasonable Doubt.

I'm not even gonna START to list all the awards he won and or was nominated for during all that.

Awards dont represent hiphop. Its the reason why JAY himself boycotted the grammys.

Do you even understand that line. In Dead Presidents 2, Jay sampled a line from the song The World Is Yours. Jay says that Nas made it a HOT LINE and Jay made it a HOT SONG
But that is not true because The World Is Yours is atleast equally as good as Dead Presidents 2, if not better

I think YOU don't understand that line. The World is Yours was NOT based on that line.

    The World is Yours chorus:

    PR] Whose world is this?
[Nas] The world is yours, the world is yours
    [PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
    Whose world is this?
    "It's yours!"
    It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
    Whose world is this?
[Nas] The world is yours, the world is yours
    [PR] It's mine, it's mine, it's mine
    Whose world is this?

Nas uses "I'm out for dead presidents to represent me" once in that song.

    Dead Presidents chorus:

"Presidents to represent me" --> Nas
    "Get money!"
"I'm out for presidents to represent me" "Get money!"
"I'm out for presidents to represent me" "Get money!"
"I'm out for dead * ****** * presidents to represent me (Whose...)"

So, what Jay said was true. BOTH songs were good. But DP was a hot song based on that line. So, I don't understand your agrument. Because you like The World Is Yours better than Dead Presidents II, Dead Presidents II wasn't based on that line and The World Is Yours was?

    no.

And by the way, Dead Presidents II > The World Is Yours

Are you stupid. I was talking about Illmatic which came out in 94. 94 - 2001 = 7 Years.

Well, that's even worse, because now you're just bein *****y. So he rounded 7 [or 8 depending on how you look at it] to 10. Who cares?

MORE NON SENSE. What has Sales got to do with it? EVEN jay wasnt talking about sales. He was talking about quality. He said "one hot album every 10 year average". The Hot album being Illmatic. Which was nas' lowest selling.
The Volume albums quality music wise are a joke compared to Reasonable Doubt.

Well I am and It was Written are jokes compared to Volume 1 and 2. Maybe even 3. So, either way, Jay killed him on this line.

Awards dont represent hiphop. Its the reason why JAY himself boycotted the grammys.

True enough. The Grammys are a joke anyway. Hell, award shows in general are a joke.

A battle is one after the song is released. Not 3 months later.

Didn't I just explain this? It doesn't matter whether YOU didn't understand the dis 'till 3 months later. Nas understood the dis. That's what matters. Maybe it didn't entertain you, but it wasn't supposed to. That was a shot at Nas. That wasn't a flare to make you get all giddy.

    Listen to his new song.

Hell no. If you want me to believe you, YOU're gonna have to do the work, not me. Post the lyrics here or get out.

Deception, i enjoy seeing him get mad,

    Well, then you're a [edit] aren't you.

also knowing that he represents fake fans, puts a smile on my face.

Fake fans? So, you're a REAL fan, I guess? Because you've lived hip hop, huh? Or maybe because you've spent more time on hip hop message boards talking to other real fans? Or maybe because you have more money and have more albums? Or maybe because your older? Maybe have been listening to hip hop longer?

Well, then I feel sorry for you because a 16 year old white kid who doesn't own many albums because he doesn't have much money and hasn't spent hours on end on hip hop internet message boards and isn't a [edit] about it gives a "real fan" a run for his money on every issue he finds some fault with.

And of course, since you're so much closer to American hip hop across the pond over there in Europe, you know a little bit more about these guys' culture than I do.

    d_b's beef with Deception

    OR

    d_b's beef with Suzuki.

    Neither 'cause [edit].

"So yeah I sampled your voice, you was usin it wrong
You made it a hot line, I made it a hot song"

Do you understand this diss? Jay is implying that The World Is Yours was not a hot song, but only has one hot line. Thus implying Dead Presidents 2 is better. Which is an opinion in his egotistical mind. Most hiphop heads prefer The World is Yours. Ive seen polls done on this.

Well, that's even worse, because now you're just bein *****y. So he rounded 7 [or 8 depending on how you look at it] to 10. Who cares?

Wow, you are blinded by your love. Its ok for him to say that he has been in the game for 5 years, and Nas 10?? There debut albums are 2 years apart, but hey lets add another 3 years onto that. [face_plain]
Its a well known fact that Nas, Jay, Busta and Big been in the game around the same time. Hell Jay himself claims to have showed Nas "showed you your first tec on tour with Large Professor" (Takeover). That itself is an admission he has been in the game 10 years. But he stills says he has been in it 5, but Nas 10. LOL Jay Lost

Well I am and It was Written are jokes compared to Volume 1 and 2. Maybe even 3. So, either way, Jay killed him on this line.

lol that statement is a joke. There is not much in it between IWW/I Am and V1/V2.

I know the line hurt Nas. But thats not the point i am making. When 2 rappers are battling each other, you are meant to hurt the other one so that the crowd/audience feels you took a shot. The crowd/audience/listeners decide who wins the battle. If they dont know what the line is about, its power in the battle in null.

Fake fans? So, you're a REAL fan, I guess? Because you've lived hip hop, huh? Or maybe because you've spent more time on hip hop message boards talking to other real fans? Or maybe because you have more money and have more albums? Or maybe because your older? Maybe have been listening to hip hop longer?

lol ETHER! The **** that makes deception's soul burn slow. dude is mad ^
The funny thing is I dont even feel like i need to reply to wrong assumptions you make about my race, age, etc.

Hell no. If you want me to believe you, YOU're gonna have to do the work, not me. Post the lyrics here or get out.

Gave y'all chapters but now I keep my eyes on the Judas
With Hawaiin Sophie fame, kept my name in his music

LOL Nas clowns Jay. Jay acts like he is a hustler, but was everyone remembers his Hawaiin Sophie phase.

This for dolo and his manuscript just sound stupid
When KRS already made an album called "Blueprint"
First, Biggie's ya man, then you got the nerve to say that you better than Big
**** suckin lips, whyn't you let the late, great veteran live

ouch. lol @ Jay biting his album name
And yeah, disgust. Jay always shouting out Biggie, and then insulting him after he is dead, saying he is better. Lame.

In '88 you was gettin chased through your buildin
Callin my crib and I ain't even give you my numbers
All I did was gave you a style for you to run with
Smilin in my face, glad to break bread with the god
Wearin Jaz chains, no tecs, no cash, no cars
No jail bars Jigga, no pies, no case
Just Hawaiian shirts, hangin with little Chase
    You a fan, a phony, a fake, a pussy, a Stan
I still whip your ass, you thirty-six in a karate class
You Tae-bo hoe, tryna' work it out, you tryna' get brolic?

this part is just pure greatness.
Well known fact that Jay built his career by riding Jaz and Chase.

Is he Dame Diddy, Dame Daddy or Dame Dummy?
Oh, I get it, you Biggie and he's Puffy
Rockefeller died of AIDS, that was the end of his chapter
And that's the guy y'all chose to name your company after?
Put it together, I rock hoes, y'all rock fellas
And now y'all try to take my spot, fellas?

    lol. ETHER!

You no mustache havin, with whiskers like a rat
    Compared to Beans you wack
And your man stabbed Un and made you take the blame

wow. LOL. Nas kills Jay. First line is hillarious. Also its true Beans 2000-2001 was killing Jay lyrically.
And also smh @ the Un thing. Un and Jay got forced by Nas to admit that the thing was staged.

You ass, went from Jaz to hangin with Kane, to Irv, to Big
And, Eminem murdered you on your own ****....
Shaun Carter to Jay-Z, damn you on Jaz ****...
How much of Biggie's rhymes is gon' come out your fat lips?
Wanted to be on every last one of my classics
You pop ****, apologize, nigga, just ask Kiss

LOL never a truer thing spoken. Jay cant even deny that he went from Jaz,Kane,Irv,Biggie...and now 50! Jay went from beefing with 50, but as soon as 50 got big, Jay hopped on to 50's ****
And yeah, its disgusting how many of Biggies lines Jay has spoken. I have an audio file of the lines Jay has bitten, chopped from all his songs and its like 3 minutes long. This line hurt Jay so much that he had to respond to it years later on the Black Album. Ironicially on the song he says he bites Biggie, to "big up my brother, im big enough to do it", he also bites Nas on that same song LOL.
Also so true about Jay beggin Nas to do collabos in the past, this is also well documented. LOL @ Jay getting mad when Nas refused to be on Brooklyns Finest (which was originally gonna be NYs Finest with Nas and Biggie).
And the final line "Just ask Kiss". lol

And even the first lines are so great, the way Nas introduces the beef. He gets everyone to feel him.

I've been ****ed over, left for dead, dissed and fogotten
Luck ran out, they hoped that I'd be gone, stiff and rotten
Y'all just piss on me, **** on me, spit on my grave (uh)
Talk about me, laugh behind my back but in my face
Y'all some well wishin (*******), friendly actin envy hidin snakes
With your hands out for my money, man, how much can I take?
When these streets keep callin, heard it when I was sleep
That this Gay-Z and Cockafella Records wanted beef

    Jay lost.
    His soul still burns.
His soul got burnt so much that he had to make a retirement album to get everyone to call him the GOAT. But it failed, people soon forgot about Jay, and moved on to 50. And now he comes back with 2 albums.
