Quite a leggy fellow. Along with the AT-ACT's, I think I understand Gareth's, umm, tastes now. Not the same, but I wanted them on the same screen for comparison.
With K2SO being an android I wonder if this means we might see him appear in some of the saga movies.
Just noticed In the BTS reel when they've got Tudyk running on the beach during the AT-ACT attack they have an elevated head for him instead of making him run on stilts.
I like the part about him running into other K2 droids. Should be interesting. Also interesting that he is confirmed as Cassian's. That may have been out already, but I know a lot of us were guessing he was Jyn's.
Yeah, interesting bit about the "inner lives" of droids in that K2SO article. The story group kinda started laying the groundwork for exploring those kinds of themes in the Threepio comic, which was better than I thought it would be. p.s. Did a Google search on K2SO and in the process discovered that K2SO(4) is the chemical formula for potassium sulfate.
I already love this droid. Say what you will about everything else, but I think most will agree that Lucasfilm seems to be treating droids right.
I love that shot. It does make me wonder though if one of them goes back to pick up the bag or is it just left there? And if it's left does this come back to haunt them later? I'm probably putting too much thought into it and it's just their back up supply of blue milk.
Hmm, maybe this bag will be discovered in an upcoming arc of Marvels Star Wars series by the Big 3 and it will play an important role there?
That's BB-8 in the bag. Thirty years later, he turns on, rolls out of the bag, and is picked up by Poe Dameron, who's living in an abandoned AT-ST in the desert. Everything's connected.
I was thinking Snoke is in there... ...and 34 years later he's still really mad they left him behind.
I love the look of his arms. They seem so heavy and springy all at once. That's actually really good CGI.
It actually blows my mind. I don't know if the uncanny valley counts for droids, but they nailed the ****** out of it.
Love that landsape too. Though it's a desert, it has a very different vibe than both Tattooine and Jakku. It may be the best foreground, character CGI I have ever seen.
From what little we've seen of K-2SO so far, he really does seem to have more weight and physical presence to him than pretty much any other CG / mocap character.
The scary thing is an American doing an 'English' accent; "Cor luv a duck, I only gorn and blarn the bleedin' Death Star up!"
The full video of the Rogue One Celebration panel also includes the K2SO clip, with Alan Tudyk narrating about the character.
