I would pay $100 to see a big space battle with her riding Drogon with a shield generator aroumd them. And it totally has to be Kura Dracarys.
Ron HowardConta verificada @RealRonHoward 1 hHá 1 hora Mais @emiliaclarke has wrapped filming on #UntitledHanSoloMovie. She's given us a terrifically strong & exciting character. Fun 2 work with, 2!
They do look similar. The trades were trying to make it look like only PoC were up for the role which is why people were shocked when another white brown haired woman was cast. Clarke is certainly a bigger name who somehow flew past the radar and got cast. An old rumor was that they were looking to cast the brother of Han Solo. I suppose they could have changed it to a sister. https://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2016/02/new-han-solo-a-star-wars-story-casting-rumors.html (February 12, 2016) (As Jyn Erso's family had a role to play in Rogue One, what role if any can family play in the Han Solo movie?) Else the list options include villainness, unrelated politician, romantic interest, etc. (I like the villain option and most boring and aggravating option is Leia romantic interest retread.) The recent Leia: Princess of Alderaan novel gave 16 year old Leia a new love interest with a young man named Kier. Leia didn't have any siblings (besides secretly Luke who was far away toiling away on Tatooine). Clarke's character's name is rumored to be Kura or Kira. And what will Clarke's accent be?
Perhaps there's a reason he's gotten cold and cynical by the time he meets Luke and Ben. Perhaps too many of the ones he loved have been lost.
I think a moving story, which would add a wonderful layer to Han and Luke’s relationship in the OT, would be Han losing his younger brother (or sister) due to the latter’s naïveté, and Han’s failure to protect him. And Han will refer to him or her as “kid.”
Kasdan alluded to a family theme in 2015 interviews for the movie and that Han was more carefree when he starts out and then something causes him to become another way. Lawrence Kasdan: ““I think [it was easy to slip back into the mind of young Han while writing the spin-off movie]. You know, he’s younger in this [spinoff] movie and that’s fun because you have to imagine him 10 years earlier in his early 20s. What was he like before he hardened up? Before he had some setbacks? Before he put on this cynical coat? What got him there?” (December 3, 2015) Lawrence Kasdan: “[The young Han Solo movie] is so in line with the Star Wars saga, which is all about fathers and sons, mothers and sons, mother and daughters. It’s all about generational issues that you and I face every day. How much of what I inherited is good? How much of it is a burden to me? How do I define myself separate from those things? How do I latch on to the things that were great in my parents.” (December 17, 2015) So we can imagine Clarke's character or Beckett's to have a role in Han's development. And they could be dead by time the movie is over because...well they don't seem to exist in any prior story past this time frame of the movie unlike Lando and Chewbacca and of course Han himself. And we know what they did to the new characters of Rogue One.
I've been wondering if RH is still filming, or if he is just posting images to keep fans enticed. https://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/201...nd-dangerous-times-in-the-han-solo-movie.html At the same link, SWNN also has some interesting thoughts on recent RH posts of (what-could-possibly-be) Kessel.
I look forward to seeing what Emilia Clarke can bring to the Star Wars franchise. I've seen her work before, and I approve.
