The Starfleet gets recked from Rebel Alliance

The Death Star (Obviously)

and Tarkin and this gang are standing in Krennic's way from a promotion.

 

I'm still not convinced we'll get Tarkin in Rogue One, like how can they do it? It's one thing de-aging/cgi'ing Cushings face onto another actor but what about and spoken dialogue? It would makes sense for the story, since Krennic hates him and is vying with him for Palpatines attention but at best i'm convinced we'll get a shot of him in the background. I feel similarly about a possible Leia appearance towards the end. Yes, they can cgi the face onto a younger actress but spoken dialogue? Carrie Fishers voice sounds nothing like it used to.

My main intrigue of Rogue one going into it will be:
1. Who is the man striding towards the death star screen and towards Krennic? It's too young to be Tarkin, but the focus of the camera is very much on him
2. How close will James Earl Jones voice be to ANH Vader?
3. Who the heck is the hooded person in front of the bacta tank(?) and will that still be in the end cut.

 

They could re-cast like they did with Biggs and Porkins (Or most likely what they did)

 

Sounds plausible, but the one thing I don't quite understand is why/how the X-wings get involved on Eadu:

 

That's a real can of worms that has me scratching my head as well.

We know that when the Holy City gets destroyed that Jyn, Cassian, Baze and Chirrut are in the U-Wing and Jyn says 'we must find my Father'. To me, that indicates that she does not know where he is but the next thing that appears to happen is the U-wing (with Jyn, Cassian, Baze and Chirrut on board) is approaching the base on Eadu. So they either received the information as to the whereabouts of this secret base or (my theory) they spotted Krennic's shuttle and followed it.

If my theory that Eadu is under the Holy City bears fruit it all seems plausible. We are told that there is a mining and research station on Jedha, yet no one seems to know where it is. We see the Death Star destroying the Holy City, but for what reason? We see the kybers being transported through the streets of the Holy City to be loaded on to the Cargo shuttles but no one knows where the crates are coming from.

My assumption would be that the mining and research station is under the Holy City, deep underground. The crates of kybers are taken to the landing platform and loaded onto speeders (or those tanks themselves) and then flown up to another landing pad in the catacombs of the Holy City above. From there they are transported through the streets to the Cargo shuttles and on to Scarif.

I'm guessing that Krennic wants to speed up the process and get the kybers out quicker so decides to remove the obstruction (the Holy City) and blasts it away making a neat hole big enough for the Cargo shuttles to fly down. Krennic then flies his shuttle down there to pick up Galen. Jyn, just after rescuing Baze and Chirrut, recognises the shuttle and requests Cassian to follow it.

The X-wings may well be from that partisan faction and not allied to the Rebels as we known them so just trying to destroy the Mining and Research base.

 

My guess is that two things happen - she witnesses the power of the DS and the death of Saw on Jedha and quite possibly Galen on Eadu. The change comes because she doesn't want their sacrifices or loss to be in vain.

After watching again i noticed several vacant chairs. I'm guessing perhaps one of them was Krennic's?

 

well I made a decision on when I am seeing the film, I have to pick up my niece and nephew every day from the school bus stop at 3 pm and my nephew at 4:15pm So I don't have to worry about picking kids up and I can get to the theater supper early I am seeing the movie on Sunday December 18 and then going to dinner at Long Horn Steak House after the movie!!!!!!

 

I wonder if we'll get cameos from those Admirals. We know there is some kind of demonstration on Jedha. I'm pretty certain that the Admiral we see striding into the gallery is Tarkin. It would be fun if the rest are in the background. And if we see any kind of similar war room scene, might it be Krennic, not Tarkin sitting in the main chair? The other empty chairs could be Admirals whose ships are destroyed in the space battle.

 

Regal Cinemas has a great deal, for $100.00 plus shipping and handling you get a super Rogue One ticket where you get to see the movie once a day for the entire run of RO's time in the theater!!!!

I personally think it is a good deal, say the movie is In the theater 3 or 4 months and I see it every day, That is worth way more then $100.00 I like the deal!!!!!!!!! heck even If you don't see it every day I still think It Is worth it!

edit: Woohoo! I got in fast for the first time in my life. Midnight screening, great seats, couldn't be happier. Now the wait begins.

 

Tickets bought! After a stressful 25 minutes with an app and website that wasn't working for obvious reasons tickets are bought for the midnight screening!

 

In this case, happy to be wrong!

 

Hmm, I dunno!

 

That Ultimate Ticket sounds tempting but I doubt I'll see it enough to justify it. I'll probably just stick with my original plan.

 

I'll be surprised if I even see it 10 times.
