Would it seem as out-of-place as incorporating the Nazi's Ark of the Covenant ceremony from Raiders into Saving Private Ryan? Or was that my horrible attempt at finding a suitable analogy?
That would be cool. What I meant is that Spoiler If Vader uses his lightsaber, does he employ Force powers (other than the Force choke) when confronting the Rebels? And did that take away from the gritty realism featured in the main war scenes in the movie's climax?
Ta! That's sort of what I wanted to see, so am sure sure there'll be fans who'll love it and those with reservations.
That's what happens if you leave a Vader in the heat and don't put him back into the fridge Sent from my SM-A300FU using Tapatalk
Tomorrow, I see Vader on the big screen again. So good to type that. I thought Episode 3 was really it. Gotta say, between the Marvel comics, Rebels and now Rogue One, Vader has had a fantastic run in recent times.
Speaking of the Vader comics (which I absolutely love) there is enough good stuff in those he could get his own Stand Alone film. JEJ would be the only issue. However I did see a youtube video Batman vs Vader and I must say the voice actor in that had Vader spot on.
Krayt Dragon Films over at Youtube does amazing reads of the Darth Vader comics and the voice actor of Vader is phenomenal. If they ever have to replace JEJ which will hopefully not be necessary any time soon, there are some real talents out there who deserve a chance.
I have never heard a great Vader substitute. The one LFL used for ESB SE was ridiculous. I disgaree about Krayt Dragon Films, I reckon its a decent impression but its not great.
It's not just about the impression imo, it is also about the richness of the voice and the range of emotions the voice actor can portray. I don't expect Rogue One's Vader to sound exactly like OT Vader either because of the age difference, but I still think JEJ will do a great job of bringing the character to life.
