Glad to see the T-Wolves get a big win. Hopefully they can build on the success. Of course with these big breaks between games 2 and 3, it's hard to keep the momentum going.

Missed the Lakers getting their butts whopped last night but I was glad to hear about it. Hopefully the Sixers can maintain home court tonight with a victory. It'll be interesting to see what the Hornets are gonna do to try and contain Iverson.

These long breaks in between games suck. The playoffs are already gonna be longer this year because of the extended first round.

Oh, man was it a good one. The sweetest tempo for a game I've seen in a while. I think if the T'wolves can pull a win in LA and defend HC I think they can win the series in a game 7 situation.

Bonzi Wells had a stellar game for the Blazers, scoring 45 points, but it wasn't enough.

    Up...

Actually, whoever said the "long break" between games 2 and 3 should not have been referring to Minn v. LAL... Game 3 is tonight.

... Don't know if I'll be able to watch the whole thing, but I'm excited.

On the chewing gum thing -- I find it highly annoying. I always liked Jordan, but found it dumb when he did it too. It's a lot harder to run really hard with *food* in your mouth. Just another irritating Laker detail ... like Shaq's Superman stuff and Rick Fox's soul glow hair.

The Spurs don't play until tomorrow.

That's kind of good so Robinson has a chance to rest.

    I agree YYM.

I assume you are a Spurs fan? Do I assume incorrectly? I am such a Spurs fan that I am not sure I can watch the games this playoffs. I just don't want to see any losses in DR's final playoffs. :(

If the supporting cast (Tony Parker ) would step it up we won't lose many more games anyway.

Some people have short memories. I seem to remember Duncan playing just fine against the Lakers in the playoffs in '99. It wasn't that long ago.

"Parker isn't a big game player." Yeah, it's his second year and he's already established what type of player he is?

Very good game between the Nets and the Bucks tonight. Nets win it on a Rodney Rogers shot with 2 seconds left, 103-101. Nets now lead the series 2-1.

The Celtics blew out the Pacers to take 2-1 lead in that series.

Sometimes, the playoffs seem so fixed that it's a wonder the referees don't come out and say it.

A Laker can knock down someone from Minnesota and not get called, but if someone so much as breathes on Kobe Bryant, it's a foul. Minnesota should be up 2-1 in the series right now.

But, I don't think the NBA or the networks could handle anything less than the Lakers in the finals (after that, who cares, since they get the TV revenue).

I'm turning off the T'wolves v. Laker game now. 1) I have to go to bed. 2) The calls make me sick. KG's practically crying on the bench, and even the commentators (notoriously pro-Laker) are commenting on the ridiculousness of the fouls against them. I can understand the call on Szcierbiak because refs often get whistle happy on threes at the end of a game -- but I just feel sick about what they did to Garnett this game.

My father has been boycotting basketball since the 2000 Western Conference Finals when the referees cheated the Lakers into the Finals the last 15 minutes of Game 7. And he was completely neutral watching the game, but felt that it was the most obvious set-up of any sport he's ever seen.

I can't watch another one. Stupid NBA.

Wow. I am a Celtics fan from Boston, and I've been rooting for my Celts, but secretly didn't care all that much because I figured the Lakers would winn the whole thing at the end anyway.

Now the Lakers are on the edge and the C's look like they may advance....I might actually care about the NBA again!

I swear the NBA must be rigged. The Lakers got the exact same ridiculous calls last year against the Kings :(

I can't even imagine what the next game will be like...

Get ready for some more "makeup calls" in game 4. Can't let the Lakers go down 3-1 now!

I don't really think that the refs do it "on purpose." I believe that they just don't usually see the 'superstars' do the things they see everyone else do. And, the Lakers are the superstars of the NBA (and have been promoted to be such since the late 90's -- even before they deserved it) so the refs let them get away with things...
