Veloz: [face_laugh] Obi quotes can be used in any situation, couldn't they?

OBW simply does have the best lines at times (although movie critics tend to think otherwise). But more than his lines, it is the way he says it. (oh my god, I sound like a woman:p )

His little "I don't think so" to Dooku's "you must see that my powers are much greater than yours, now back down" is priceless - escpecially since he knows he's gonna lose. Humor till the end in that boy;)

And, who can forget his little "hi there" to GG - quite priceless as well. Also, it showed OBW as one darned proficient swordsman, but a little insane though. A penny for his thoughts before he jumped down, hehe

Oh, and his somewhat condescending nature as well: "good job" to Anakin is quite good as well.

Hey, I didn't even say I like OBW here. But he's one of the best, much helped by two brilliant actors!

I always thought Obi-Wan was responding "oh, I don't think so" to the "now back down" part of Dooku's taunt, not the "you must see that my powers are much greater than yours" part.

Obi wasn't going to shy away from anything. He knew he had to try and stop Dooku, as he told Anakin on the gunship, as at the time the Jedi thought Dooku was the top dog. So when Dooku told Obi-Wan to back down, Obi-Wan was having no part of it. Brave and heroic, that's our Obi!

I love Obi's reply to Anakin "good job!" when he tells Obi-Wan he's come to rescue him and is captured himself. That was priceless, and I use it alot.

And "Hello, there!" is in my sig. Love it. Obi is just cool as a cucumber whenever faced with any kind of problem or danger. He just goes at the job and does his best to get it done. Nothing seems to sway him.

It was always my impression that Obi-Wan knew that Grievous would hold off his droids and that he would want to fight him himself. Grievous had the same problem that Anakin did, overconfidence. That's why he just took the fight to Grievous and let him make his move. Obi-Wan knew what that move would be, and Grievous did just what Obi thought he would.

Excellent post Arbed. I completely agree with you. =D=

Rossa, I totally know what you mean by the way he delivers his lines. No matter how cheesy the lines are, his delivery is so great that he totally sells the line. Now that is charisma. I love how he says "blast" in one of my favourite Obi quotes, "if they find us, they'll crush us, grind us into tiny pieces and blast us into oblivion". Also, that cute little smirk after he says it is totally cheeky and adorable and HAWT. =P~

We celebrated starting on pg. 451 in the Ewan thread if you want to check it out. It lasts for 4 pages or so.

We had a cake of all Ewan's movie roles baked by Shiri, a game with our fav Ewan pics and song, fireworks, balloons, more cake, chocolate, and lots of yummy pics.

Hey, check it out, it was fun.

    Hello there! :* [face_laugh]

I have to agree with u alll with the Obi Wan lines: in the prequels Ewan just delivers those perfectly and so like Sir Alec, specially on ROTS.

I have so many Obi lines i cant even start to name my favorites, but i do find myself muttering some of his lines under my breath at certain times "Oh i dont think so", "Good job" , "Hello there!" come to mind [face_laugh]

    [face_laugh] Shiri, you tease.

Veloz, those are the lines that I say in real life too. :D

Obi has the best lines. Or if they aren't the best lines, the way Ewan delivers them makes them seem like the best lines. What a great job Ewan did.
