Yes I agree i'm assuming too much.

But I look at Star Wars Resistance and wonder how Oban Star Racers meets Zoids Chaotic Century might work?!

 

We don't know yet what was meant by anime-inspired. It may not be based on any specific show or movie or then there is some specific inspiration. There are tons of scifi-animes. I think racing may not be involved in the main plot, but of course I don't know. It could be a nice subplot though like podracing was in TPM. I personally don't want something like mechas, but on the other hand... that might be very interesting depending how it is done. Imagine Phasma with experimental exosuit - something we have not really seen in Star Wars.

 

I wouldn't be suprised if Ahsoka and Sabine have already found Ezra at the time Resistance takes place, similar to how Ahsoka just showed up in Rebels and we had no idea what she had been up to since then.

 

That's why it is better not have them in it at all- or otherwise it would spoil how Ezra was found alive and well. That story needs to be told elsewhere.

Not sure what that's supposed to mean. If there's another show, she would likely be at the forefront of it along with Sabine and eventually Ezra.

World building would be great, whose responsible for this show if it isn't Filoni?

Sorry letting my own misgivings take control.
It's possible they will sort that out by the time episode 9 starts teasing just hoping this follows the same route as tcw series by being that much better at explaining themselves!

 

Really hope we can move on from old characters in this show and the next. Let us find new characters to love and get behind. Another show with those characters would be overkill. Give them a novel or two to wrap up their stories. Again.

 

Get a decent writer with someone from the story group who can ask for advice if the director forgets he/she is making a sequel (actually think a female director would make a nice change though!) and the OT isn't a problem!

As for the animated series start off with a racing tournament, turn it into a treasure hunt with bouts of First Order and Resistance hijinx!

 

Now where have I seen that before in reference to SW?

 

Pod racing, Starfighter racing, basically gambling stuff with rewards even the First Order are interested in!

Unknown Regions revealing say the Chiss and other races!

 

That can't happen since Luke was in Hiding when this show would take place.

Perhaps. Thst’s What’s fun about all of this. We know so little about it.

 

If there's racing I wonder if we'll see Solo and the Five Sabers.

 

Hm, I'm not expecting to see Ahsoka here but I'm not going to complain if she does appear in some fashion.

Though I'd rather see Ahsoka and Sabine's quest detailed in another series and/or medium. This new show needs time and room to grow on it's own before drawing in previous story/series threads.

 

If you won't complain, then I suppose I must. No, srsly, I don't want her to appear in Resistance. At all. Ahsoka has appeared in all three (canon) animated series, so I want an Ahsoka-free show. Just one. I don't think that's an unreasonable request, but I'm not sure Filoni is capable. He's welcome to prove me wrong tho.

 

I am not a fan of Nemoidians, but if they do appear I will not be in arms over the show. I do not think it will make a difference if she appears or not, the quality should be the same. That said, I hope that even if she does appear, they will continue hers and Sabine's adventure elsewhere, because I am interested in that but I want all the focus on that journey.
