We get a new imperial villain, who probarly is Tarkin's underling.

 

I adored Cut so this will be interesting. I will laugh if Hunter gets a shot gun greeting from Mrs. Lawquane, "State your business...". I hope we find his family well or my Friday may take a turn for the worst.

 

Who was that Jedi the shock trooper was escorting on the stretcher? A lot of people have been saying Shaak Ti but the skin on the back of the hand was more of a purple with olive palms. The lightsaber doesn't match either.

 

I just want it to be her, so she has yet ANOTHER death.

 

I wonder if the corucant guards will now be main bad guy clones,

 

I think it's these guys.

 

sure, but i think when we see the clones again, it be the corucant guards who is the most hostile of the clones. as those are one clone and rest normal humans.

 

Oh, yeah forgot that. They'll probably be wherever Tarkin is.

 

May I add it’s so weird to be saying the words “imperial clone troopers” after growing up watching the clone wars. And so sad too.

Some small tidbits I gleaned now that there's some model sheets out with dates. Firstly, this is a sheet from Victory and Death, TCW's finale:


The important part is the date, February 2019. The earliest concept art yet that I've found from Bad Batch (the show, not the TCW arc), is from about a week later:


So it would seem that production largely carried straight on seamlessly after work on TCW was completed. Also, the model for Captain Grey is mislabelled:


It has the branding of 'Twins', which is the codename for TCW Season 7 as seen on many of the model sheets and art, whereas Bad Batch uses the codename 'Cookies'. Given the production code and date on Grey's sheet, it would seem more likely that he was modelled for Aftermath (Prod. Code Cookies 101), not The Bad Batch (the episode, which had the prod. code TCW 6.09/Twins 101), in which he doesn't appear (and it would make no sense for him to). So I guess the sheet had the wrong title tag appended by accident.

There's also a distinction between eps 101A and 101B on the sheets for Aftermath. Eg. Tarkin and Saw are marked 101B, whereas all the sets on Kamino are marked 101A. Not sure what that indicates, perhaps since it was extra long, work on the episode was divided up somehow.

 

Yeah, Aftermath was definitely "3 episodes". There were three different directors and the runtime was approximately 3 episodes long. I'm pretty sure the second "episode" begins with Tarkin's arrival. Not sure about the third.

 

Tarkin is marked on his model sheet as being from 101B, so that makes sense. Saw is also from 101B, so presumably 101C would be after the Batch return from Onderon (I couldn't find any concept art marked 101C).

They did a much better job stitching together these three episodes than in the past with TCW and Rebels. It flows like a seamless movie.

 

This show was 2-3 years in the makimg.

 

I don't see any problem with joking around with calling it Season 8, the only reason they can't is because The Clone War is over. The assets above could very well have been intended to be in The Clone Wars but they decided to shift them over to Bad Batch.

It appears that this show might have been in the making since before Rebels.

 

What makes you think that? So far all the signs would seem to point to production starting right after TCW Season 7.

 

Someone said on Reddit that the idea was around before Rebels. Star Wars explained also said this. I don’t know where this rumor started, but we know that the show was probably at least worked on as far back as 2018.

 

Dunno if this has been asked but in the Onderon scene.. there was a little girl in Saws camp... is this Jyn?
