Yeah I just wondering if we might see Mandalore arc in future seasons, maybe doing similar what did with Ryloth arc and Corucant arc. Wether seasons 3 or 4 of Bad Batch.

Absolutely. If Rex and Echo get CF-99 to join the rebellion, Ahsoka and Rex have connections to Bo-Katan and Korkie. Two-parter on Mandalore. Maybe we could get a third Palpatine cameo when he grants the governorship to Gar Saxon?

Looks like the rest of the season is firmly aimed at mount Tantis.

Man, I really could have sworn the Durand family was introduced in season to set them up for a bigger role in season 2, but guess not. Similar situation with Phee - the way she introduced I thought she would have a big role, but seems like it is just the one episode, unless there is a season 3 she is in.

I'm still waiting for the Separatist senator rescue episode to have some kind of payoff as well.

Weve been spoiled here. Now 'only' the Mandalorian on Wednesdays for the next few weeks and then no more Star Wars TV for awhile

Season 3 is the only Star Wars project I am excited about, other than Tales of the Jedi S2 if they ever decide to make one.

Andor S2, Ahsoka, Acolyte, Lando (hopefully), Visions, etc. And now the Bad Batch S3, which the final stretch of this season endeared me to. Lots of good things on the way.

I don’t think they have confirmed a season 2 of that. Next animated project should be Visions 2 and that young kids show

The young kids Jedi show is already underway with its shorts.

Visions 2 is next, I believe.

    My season 3 predictions:

*Tech really is dead. His sacrifice echoes Chirrut's sacrifice in Rogue One, or even Obi-Wan sacrificing himself to save Luke. Him somehow turning out to be alive would cheapen that.
    * Clone Force 99 vs Death Troopers. They may even be revealed to be cybernetic creations of Dr. Hemlock.
    * Clone Force 99 join forces with Saw Gerrera's partisans for a particularly dangerous mission where Saw needs a little extra manpower. The boys are leery of working with Saw, but at the time they're in dire straits and cannot afford to say no.
    * Dr. Hemlock will subject Crosshair to brainwashing, leading to an "I Know You're In There Somewhere" Fight with his old squadmates. Omega will help him snap out of it.
    * With Crosshair being set up to ultimately be redeemed, Scorch will become the new "evil ninja specialist nemesis" for the group. Him being the one that grabbed Omega already started to kind of set that up.
    * Rayvis will make a cameo in an underworld-centric episode.
    * Any hope of our heroes peacefully retiring on Pabu is dashed when the planet is targeted by the Empire.

Good point on Rayvis. I do not know if it will be him, but will not be surprised if they tie into survivor somehow.

Clone Force 99 will be back for another mission.

Following the events of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2, it was confirmed today at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 that Season 3 is on the way, arriving on Disney+ in 2024. Announced by executive producers Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett, and Athena Portillo at the Bad Batch panel, it will be the final season as Lucasfilm finishes “telling this part of the story.”

An in-room teaser trailer was shown at the end of the panel, giving fans a sneak peek at Season 3. It began with the Emperor (once again voiced by Palpatine actor Ian McDiarmid) visiting Dr. Royce Hemlock, leader of the Empire’s cloning efforts, on Mount Tantiss. “It is imperative that this facility remain secure,” Palpatine says. “Your brilliance is a great asset to this Empire.” All members of the Bad Batch appear, with Hunter addressing Omega’s capture at the hands of the Empire. “Omega’s been waiting for us. I’m not making her wait another day.” We see Omega and a sullen Crosshair, both still in Imperial custody. “I’m not giving up, Crosshair,” Omega tells him. “I won’t leave you, either. You’re my brother.” Throughout, there are glimpses of several worlds and characters, including Republic commandos, clones, Rex, plenty of giant creatures (“Why is there always a huge monster!” Wrecker asks, before dropping a thermal detonator in one’s mouth.), and Ming-Na Wen’s fan-favorite bounty hunter, Fennec Shand.

Disappointing that it's gonna be the last season. Even Rebels got 4. So much you could do in this time period.

The Republic Commandos, or just generic commandos?

Seems less likely that Tech is going to be revealed to be alive since only one season left.

I like this being the final season. The Bad Batch follows the original trilogy format now as a result. Season 2’s ending was the most Empirey thing I’ve seen since Empire.

Rebels had more diverse cast which allowed for branching storylines (each of Ezra and Sabine had their Hero's journey, while Hera became a general, Zeb found a new destiny for his people, and Kanan walked the path of true Jedi). Clone Force 99 has fewer option for development and the loss of Tech greatly reduced their variety. They have a very specific and important mission and I hope that at the end of their journey most of them will retire peacefully at Pabu. (More casualties seem inevitable though).

I only hope that they have another animation series in sight as such talent should not go to waste. But I doubt Filoni will let Lucasfilm's animation department to die.

The Bad Batch has more interesting time period and more mature tone, which allows for a great variety of good stories. Coruscant arc, Crosshair episodes - you can do a lot more with that and with many other characters across the Galaxy. Just branch into the anthology format like TCW. And since S3 is the final one, we know that Rex fails with his clone network almost immediately, and we barely got to see any of it, since most of what Rex did was off-screen for two seasons. Shame to let it go after just 3 seasons.

Don't get me wrong. I love TBB and would prefer to have it running forever. Still, they had to consider whether they can maintain interest in that storyline for more than 1 additional season (you and I are not enough to justify the costs of production).

There could be plenty of good stories during the Dark Times, but, with the lack of organized rebellion, there are limits about what a bunch of recognizable outcasts (who are not exactly trained for manipulation and subterfuge) can achieve. It is just the end of Clone Force 99's narrative. I am sure that we will see some of them in future projects, especially Omega.

And I think that the anthology format will be used only for projects like Tales of the Jedi or Visions. Otherwise they will have to suffer endless accusations about producing "fillers".

I am not so sad to let The Bad Batch as characters go. To be honest, aside from Crosshair, none of them really went beyond the basic archetypes that they were when introduced. The Bad Batch themselves (aside from Crosshair) were the least interesting part of the show anyway, at least for me. I am saddened to let go of the show about the early Empire that is more than capable of telling interesting stories. And I love animation, and it looked beautiful, and was scored beautiful, and when it dared to tell complex stories - it was incredible. You could do so much with Rex and actually show him saving and convincing the clones, you could show other clones, explore other Imperial clones and their reason for sticking with the Empire, you could show surviving Jedi, bounty hunters, Underworld, more Imperial senate and intrigue. But that's ultimately the show about CF99, I suppose, so I'll have to accept that. Shame that Lucasfilm has never done anything on the scope of TCW and is simply allergic to the anthology format, even though at times, The Bad Batch came really close. Eh, just me being salty.

Don't despair just yet. I don't think they are quite done with the Dark Times. Andor may inspire some animation projects about the origins of the Rebellion.
As regards the anthology format, I edited my previous post (while you were writing your reply) and shared my opinion on it.
