Nah some people will think it's too "over the top." And the Grievous haters will still be Grievous haters. Oh well. I say bring on the big bucket of bolts (and some alien in there too). :)

I remember that AICN rumor, that famous thread, and people pooh-poohing everything away! Seems like many lifetimes ago!

The General, IMO, could become the most charismatic of all the SW one-episode villains! And I can't wait to hear his dialogue - Pablo says he is quite chatty!

    "Magnetize!"

From his official Bio, Grievous sounds awesome! Fighting alongside his troops! Lightning strikes! Charismatic! Brilliant strategist! Unhindered by compassion or scruples!

In creating GG, how many historical generals did GL pay homage to?

Well he sounds like hes been awesome in the cartoons and he will rock in the last one tomorrow. Its only made me more excited about GG. Of cource its still a year and month or so to Episode 3 but the info on GG is going to continue and get more specific and it will be interesting to see how many GG haters are there come May 19, 2005.

I wonder if he says Magnetiz when he's going out into space on the outside of the Trade Federation Crusier to escape, maybe he says it as a voice activation for magnets on his feet.

The toon General approaches nearer! 8 hours and 15 minutes now. A tad longer for it to be on Hyperspace.

I know a lot of people have been speculating if general grievous is maul, etc... but I just wanted to state that before he was a cyborg he was just grievous. Also I was hoping that Obi wan will catch a glimpse of the general maybe even spar a little so they be familiar with each other's fighting styles come eppy 3 but I doubt it.

So, I have the strangest nightmare last night...

I'm a Jedi and I'm being hunted down by Grievous! Jedi are being slaughtered left and right, and I don't have a lightsaber, so I decide to hide in a cave. Well, the General finds me and starts stabbing me over and over with his 4 sabers until I woke up. It was the first movie villain I've had a nightmare about since I saw the Terminator when I was 6! And I haven't even seen this movie yet! Oh man...

IEatPoodoo You needed a good blaster at your side during your nightmare! [face_shocked]

I think tonight's episode will have both Anakin and Obi-Wan - doesn't Anakin say "You were right, Master, it was a trap"? But I doubt they will come face to face with Grievous. They should be utterly surprised in the beginning sequence of E3.

Is tonight's episode supposed to be 6 minutes? Double length?

So, has anyone started on their Grievous costume yet, or at least started thinking about it?

Regardless of how detailed it is, I think the biggest obstacle in convincing people you're the General is making sure you don't have too much meat on your arms, legs, trunk, neck, and head.

Like any great boxer or wrestler, it's a real science getting down to competition weight, or in our case CIII and 5-19-05. Sure, skipping lunch, cutting back at the dinner table, running bleachers, and minimizing rehydration to achieve the perfect rail-like build are all key elements in pulling off the ultimate Grievous costume, but you have to keep in mind that you'll be waiting in line for hours.

Scenario: Your blood-sugar levels drop way too low. All of the guys and gals dressed as boring Jedi and Clonetroopers think you're just getting into character when you're passed out and twitching like a malfunctioning battledroid. The last thing you want are a bunch of Republic goons laughing and pointing as you're sprawled out in the parking lot.

Advice: Stay near the guy dressed as Passel Argente. If any mishaps come your way, I'm sure he'll give you a hand.

Hint: You've gone too far. Even the greatest cyborgs need to eat from time to time.

Tip: You'll be carrying four sabers... make use of them. There are a lot of gels and powders on the market that cater to endurance athletes.... fill the hilts with whatever keeps you stable for the next 10 hours but won't make you look bloated. Remember, presentation is everything. Sunflower kernals are a good source of long-lasting energy, but don't overdo it or they'll go straight to your hips.

Idea: Plastic leggings and armings will add way too much unnecessary bulk.... remember you'll already be wearing tubes, wires, and cardboard fins and plates here and there. I would suggest white, grey, and green body paint, granted you have a codpiece securely covering up your bits and pieces. Remember, you're the icon of evil, not perversion.

Warning: Be sure to choose a non-toxic and breathable body paint... blood pressure has been known to rise dangerously high with the wrong paint. Remember: you still want to see the movie.

Idea: Do you remember the kids in school that dressed up as the roach or the spider for Halloween? The innovative thing about those costumes were their limbs that were linked with fishing line and move simultaneously. We can use the same trick for Grievous. People will be stunned and amazed as you meagerly sway four sabers back and forth. Oohs and aahs abound.

And most importantly, get creative and take pride in your costume..... we know the General does.

OMG! My lord....I was just owned. Bad. I always liked the idea of GG and now, my hopes are backed up by an ass kicking episode of Clone Wars! Man, I love the way this guy fights. I'm going to have to watch in slow motion to capture all his sweet movements. Wow. Just, awesome.

At this point in time, my only concern about GG in Episode III is if ILM can pull off a completely CGI Grievous that is credible and realistic. Let us hope so.

If they can pull off yoda, dont you think they can pull of a robotic cyborg?

seems easier to do that, then make a creature like yoda move so realistically.

I don't see anything special about GG .
    Serious !
Better i don't believe this micro series was the better way to introduce him ? saw what Mace did to the droids and them try to explain what makes this GG so fearsome .
    I don't get it .
Anyway GG BIO is up in the OS.
Now note this GG didn't kill Ki-Adi-Mundi ? the OS databank confirms it here.
If the the guy cannot win Ki-Adi-Mundi it's hard to believe he is so tough and powerfull.
Also Ayala Secura survived Grevious attack .

Still wanting to be impressed [face_plain]

Did you really expect to two prominent members of the Jedi Order to be knocked off in an EU cartoon series? Honestly. As I said in another thread, I'm sure we only saw 1/10 of what Grievous is capable of and rightfully so.

Just because GG does not kill Ki Adi Mundi in a cartoon that does not make him less powerfull.

The spinning torso and limbs, with lightsabers twirling!

    Flipping and Spinning...

Can't wait to see him in action!

    Thanks Cartoon Network!!

I think Grievous looks like a damn Transformer.

So maybe Lucas should add Megatron and Starscream as Grievous' Henchmen in Episode 3.
