hey, mace may end up being extremely important to the saga, if he allows yoda, obiwan and padme and twins escape while he battles anakin/vader, then id go as far to say that he is about as important as yoda, maybe even more so, just because you get more screen time doesnt necessarily mean you are more pivitol in the story

    mace is da doode :D

    :D

Every Jedi that will fight the good fight in Episode 3 is important to the Saga. Without any of them, things would not have gone the way they went.
The only thing that's going makes Mace's sacrifice more important, and stand out more in Episode 3, is the way it's going to happen.... Mace Style.

I know, i just know, that the only reason we didn't see to much of Mace in the previous 2 films is becouse George wants to drop him like a bomb, he wants Mace to go from 0 to 6000 in episode 3. He wants us to doubt him, wants us to think that he's all talk... and than, come episode 3, he'll blow us all away by letting him go all out, and raise the bar for all other lightsaber fights.

I seriously think that Mace's fight to the death might even rival the Anakin/Obi-Wan duell. Big words i know.... But only time will tell.

I agree. In TPM Mace did hardly anything in AOTC he only did half of what he should of done.In Ep 3 he will shine......and burn out in an incredible way.Don't get me wrong a large part of the final chapter will be based around the dissintergration of Anakin and Obi-Wan's friendship and the duel between them will be awesome but however Mace meets his end and what happens around it will be a stand out of the whole film.

what is mace style? sitting down in the council room, saying extremely corny lines? he really hasn't done anything yet to get excited over. killin jango was no big deal. he just got ran over by whatever that thing was. i have no beef if you like the guy but he hasn't done anything special yet.

Yeah but he will do something special in Episode III. It will be his time to shine as he goes out in a blaze of glory saving Obi-Wan, Yoda, and the twins (I hope!). You will see why he is the second baddest Jedi in the universe!

    Mace owns you!

    Hyperspace Update:

    (Paraphrasing)

-Samuel Jackson is now in Sydney.

-He'll be wearing the same robes that he wore in Episode II.

-He's going to do lightsaber rehearsals soon.

So we'll definitely see the purple blade, and hopefully a duel against a Sith Lord.

    May 09, 2002 / Stars of Ep2 talk Ep3 on OS:

"George has told me nothing. Absolutely nothing," said Hayden shaking his head. "I'll have more mechanical parts in the next one for sure. I'm told I might get to sport the dark helmet. I'd like to kill Mace Windu. I love Sam. He's supposed to be one of the most powerful Jedi."

Jun 26; MTV: Samuel L Jackson & Ewan McGregor Talk Episode 3:

"I'm just going to die, you know?" Jackson said recently of George Lucas' plans for "Star Wars Episode III," which the actor begins work on next month in Australia. "I'm basically going down there hoping that I'm going to have this really awesome lightsaber battle with somebody that takes me out in the proper way. You know, the way a Jedi of my status deserves to be taken out." - hinting it's a duel with a Sith

Mace will be about to kill Darth Vader, when a young Han Solo accidentally trips and ignites the Jedi Master's jetback and sending him screaming through the air and plunging directly into the belly of the all powerful Sarlacc.

Mace will probably get killed by his old friend Dooku, who betrayed him and the Jedi's trust.

And the end of the clone wars are early on, so I expect we will only see Mace in the wars and ultimately killed there.

I'd like to see Mace killed trying to hold off Vader as the surviving Jedi flee the falling Jedi Temple.

I don't want to see Mace killed by Dooku. I think he should be more powerful than Dooku. Then again Dooku survived Yoda.

    Eh, I don't know.

That would be sweet. And appropriate, seeing as how Mace is the leader of the group. He took the Jedi to Geonosis. The team leader.

    But I would guess if this happened, Yoda would be sneaking out the back door. 8-}

Yeah, Yoda had "more important" things to do than save younglings from the temple.
