JBRO13, that is a wonderful movie poster. It looks just like the old 1950s posters. Nice job!

Ryuuri-chan, very nice drawing of Anakin on Halloween!

Okay, here is my submission for this month's challenge to use a SW character in a picture resembling an 1950s SciFi movie poster:

    [image=http://img426.imageshack.us/img426/778/postercontest4dw.jpg]

The image is based on the novel Shatterpoint and the scene where Mace is nude, having just left the probiotic showers, and he as confronted by a bunch of thugs. He, of course, he kicks butt. That is my favorite part of the book. ;)

Okay, I have an ulterior motive for using a nude Mace Windu-- I can't draw hair or clothes!!! :p

That is really nice. I like the bold use of color. It has a scary serial killer look to it.

But I am a bit confused as to what it means. What is SSD? Is that part of the Video Game industry? I am familiar with the movies and the novels and some of the comics, but I haven't owned a video game since my Dad bought Pong for me as a kid. ;)

I like the poster, though, despite my ignorace of SSD.

LOL. To be honest, that is exactly what I thought when I first read the post. But then I thought 'Why would a person be obsessed with that?' ;)

    Thanks.

Ah... now I understand. What is it about guys and large spacecraft? ;)

    Very nice work.

I don't know if it is a gender thing, but it seems like the ladies in this forum prefer to draw people pretty much exclusively. Whereas the males like to draw spacecraft or jedi/warriors in combat. Am I wrong?

But that is okay. Even though I prefer making cheesy romance pictures, I love looking at drawings of spacecraft, landscapes and images of war.

    Great job!!

I prefer to draw people to space craft. I also prefer more serence, emotional scenes rather than blasters and lightsabers everywhere... XD

    I'm male, btw...

To Mega Therion... breaking the mold...

Maybe the majority of guys on here have a lot of angst... And the majority of females are more like, relaxed? maybe I'm not making sense. I'm quite a relaxed person, and I like to reflect that in drawings. Not thatI don't do the odd "action" or "tension" scene, like the picture I submitted in this very thread. Although I actually find it more satisfying to draw either just beofore or just after an action sequence. Kind of like cause and effect, y'know? You know.

Same with any fiction I write, but that's mainly because I find action sequences hell to write and keep entertaining and not repetetive.

Can we post more than one picture in here? [face_monkey]

:) Ah well, generalizations are usually wrong anyway. I just thought I saw a trend.

As far as I know you can submit more than one pic for this challenge. I did.

That's Dooku? The guy standing looks like Al Pacino. :p Or is the guy to the right supposed to be Dooku? I am not sure, it is difficult to make out the features. Are you using a filter or are you making these drawings by hand?
