Tarkin is definitely in Episode III. He is named on Hasbro's list of 3.75in figures.

Tarkin was in his early 60s in ANH (Cushing's real age was 63.) Which would put him in his 40s in ROTS.

 

Is there anything official on Tarkin being on Revenge of the Sith? I just checked the Star Wars Official Website and there is no mention of Tarkin in the cast list.

Although I'm of the school of thought that Tarkin should appear in Sith where is the official confirmation that we're having Tarkin on the movie?

 

Because we have heard it constantly and consistantly, he's a Hasbro figure, Wayne Pygram will be playing Tarkin, not that Chris guy. Also Pablo mention not everyone will be put on the cast list at the official site.

 

When I was little, whenever they said "Grand Moff Tarkin" I always thought that they said "Grandma Tarkin" Actually I should have heard "Grandpa Tarkin" because Tarkin is a man. That's not how it happened though, I specifically heard Grandma, which doesn't make sense, because Tarkin is a man as I stated earlier.

Dinvader, while those might point out as a possibility, it seems that it is not something official as of yet. It falls in the category of quite possible, but not quite confirmed.

I hope he is as I'm of the school that he should be included, but I'm kinda planting a seed of doubt in case he doesn't show up.

I was watching the audio commentary of A New Hope and George Lucas explains that Tarkin and Vader are at the same level. In fact, Lucas goes on to say that equality qith Tarkin shows Vader as a pathetic character and not this archetype of evil he later becomes.

So it would be important to have a quick explanation of how Tarkin comes into the scene in Episode III in order to tie him into Episode IV.

 

we know he stands with Palpy and Vader at the end but is he ever in any other scene and will someone call him by name?

 

Does Tarkin know that Anakin and Darth Vader are the same person?

 

Not sure how accurate this is but an Australian magazine possibly TV week or New Idea stated that James Marsters (Spike from Buffy) had signed on to play Grand Moff Tarkin. This publication of the magazine came out about six months ago so may not be accurate but you could see him playing a younger version of the character. - lebeau666

This is the first confirmation I have seen of Tarkin in Episode III. Cool!

 

We heard nothing of Tarkin when Motee described the Star Destroyer Bridge scene in the Trailer.

Is Motee wrong or is Tarkin not in?

I would think that seeing him in a scene he's rumored to be in would have been better proof obviously. But the list is nothing to forget either. I just don't know. So far there have been a few things these toys have gotten wrong so I don't trust them all that much.

And it does look a hell of a lot more like him.

 

I think they did a great job with the look if it really this actor.
