I will say this about star wars animation, since the Star Wars Micro Clone War series, star wars animation has done very well between there different award wins and nominations. This area has been truly epic over the last 20 years

 

Does this show have any kind of ongoing plot or interesting world-building? I watched the first short and it just seemed like it was for babies only.

It's amazing but the Young Jedi Adventures wins 2 Emmy Awards. This is freaking great. I admit, I didn't give this show much of a chance or thought, but after watching several episodes I've gotten hooked on it. It had 5 Emmy nominations and so far 2 wins. I'm not sure, but later today there are another 54 categories, so maybe they can get another one but the two is amazing. Star Wars animation has really done very good over the last 20 years.

 

I almost bought that set for my daughter today but darn thing was $50 and it was just Christmas so I didn't lol

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures Returns with New Episodes

I'm excited to see some stuff from the books/comics on TV. My daughter really likes this show and as far as little kid shows go, it's really quite good compared to a lot of junk that's out there right now.

 

There are some things that come back (like the villain remembering previous encounters) but nothing major.

 

I was all set to start re-watching The Bad Batch earlier, in anticipation of its final season, but decided against risking burnout (and I think I'd rather wait until it's all finished, so that I can sit back and run through the whole story). Looking around for an alternative, I booted up Young Jedi Adventures with a "might as well see" attitude and ended up really enjoying its first couple episodes. Regardless of its target demographic, it's just a delight, and more than upholds that baseline Star Wars quality you get across all mediums. Should make for good background noise, at any rate. It also adapts a lot of traditional Star Wars excitement (danger, conflict, risk, etc.) into a "safe for younglings" premise pretty creatively, which I didn't expect. At least it's consistent with portraying the Jedi Order as being reckless about childcare!

The 'twist' with Taborr was pretty decent. He's not just a spoiled rich kid, he's sheltered with inattentive parents and doesn't feel like he has any power in his 'normal' life so he's trying to break into piracy in some misguided attempt to achieve personal freedom and recognition. Some pretty heavy character motivation for a show geared at little kids.

 

Finally got around to finishing this show, and totally agree with all the comments regarding its finale and Taborr's character development, which was excellent. After that, I have to believe they've got plans to do more, so I'll definitely be hoping for (and looking forward to) a second season.

Just a genuine, trustworthy, feel-good way to spend more time in the GFFA, which I'm all for. Enjoyed its originality and fan service in equal measure.

Finally finished watching this. I have to agree with the above. It’s good fun so long as you know what your getting into

 

I love this show. The galaxy as portrayed here feels very much the way I imagined the High Republic era would feel.
I just got started though, so I've only watched two episodes. What a heartwarming surprise it was to learn that Nash has two loving moms - or rather, one mom and one mama!

 

Got this for $22.50 on clearance today!

 

Decided to get around to finishing up these episodes. Just got to the one where Starlight Beacon appears. Kind of wish instead of having the kids go fight some supposed pirates again they would have just spent the majority of the episode giving us an onscreen tour of the station. As it is they don't get to the station until about the final minute or two of the episode.

 

If you read describtion one of last episodes, then you will know that Starlight beacon will appear again.

 

Yeah I don't really do that for episodes because I like going into stuff as blind as possible. I did though just see on Starlight Beacon's wook page that it is there during the final episode.
