I used to think it was "dumb" that that person slipped on the blood until I had my own medical emergency earlier this year and the highly trained professional paramedics slipped on some of the stuff that had come out of me.

As for Romulus, it's a lot of fun. Easily in my Top 7 of Alien films!

 

True. But in my experience I’ve found that most people are stupid.

Short answer, there will be a sequel but not soon.

 

The Alien franchise works best when there is some distance between films.

 

They can take it to the future again, like the two Steve Perry books which were very good.

No, novelist and television writer Steve Perry. Perry wrote the novelizations of the first three "Aliens II" mini series from Dark Horse Comics. He wrote the adaptation of the first AvsP series, though David Bischoff wrote the adaptation of the third mini series, which was also the fourth story in the Dark Horse continuity.

Perry also wrote several Legends EU stories and episodes of "Batman: The Animated Series".

 

I would bet my bonus situation that the Romulus followup would have David.

Speaking of which I read that Romulus prequel comic that Alverez worked on. The Xeno was dormant, Rook made the facehuggers, security tries to eliminate the Xeno but turning off the statis field lets it loose and Rook lets everyone die and get sucked out into space because he is cooking the Pathogen. Also we get an explanation what a "bug hunt" is, landing on a planet that WY will colonize but have to clear out Indigenous creatures first, in this case some small bug like creatures that jumped and took out the soldiers eye

 

To be clear the titles of the two books I had in mind were AvP Prey and AvP War. These are books 1 and 3 in a trilogy but the 2nd books was by someone else, is horrible, and literally has nothing to do with books 1 and 3.

 

It's the Alien 3 trailer but not a lie this time!

That "coming soon on Disney Plus" trailer had some different footage with dialogue that says it was a ship that collected specimens from a faraway moon. "Monsters".

 

Alien Romulus is available on Hulu today. Looking forward to checking it out. It takes place between Alien and Aliens right?

 

Correct and it references "Prometheus" and "Alien: Covenant".

 

I didn't watch Alien: Covenant yet. Should I watch that first?

Prometheus is definitely referenced more than Covenant.

I'm still bitter and waiting on the disc in 2 weeks ahaha

 

I vaguely remember Prometheus so I'll have to do a rewatch of that and then follow that up with Covenant at some point.

 

I've never seen it, and it didn't impact my enjoyments one bit. Go ahead and watch.

 

Entry of the Gods Into Valhalla is apparently in Romulus somewhere!
