Well, just spitballing here, maybe Weyland Corp had like a bunch of David model synthetics ready to roll but as David was "too idiosyncratic" they swapped in a Walter matrix instead (as we see with Andy one can just flip around a Synthetic personality pretty easily). Something along those lines could be said for the "twitchy" Hyperdyne A2s

 

so is Disney+ showing the 'improved' version?

 

Just on disc right now apparently. Maybe that's why weirdly the disc release came after Hulu / Disney Plus

 

Hopefully they update the streaming/VOD versions eventually too though.

Anyway not to do with Romulus and only 2 issues so far (double sized though) but Alien vs Avengers has been freaking fab. Three Davids jumping universes to wipe out all organic life with the perfect organism. The Xenos are wiping out entire planets, Including a Marvel alternate universe, like a pandemic with teeth

 

Meanwhile the World's Finest team, the New Gods and the Green Lantern Corps have been able to beat the superior species without problems. As to Rook, I think that the wonkiness works since he's a busted android. Helps to create the illusion of the machine being exposed.

This reminds me of Ian McDirmid did a voice over as the Emperor in Rebels S2 opening episode but it's only if you bought it digital, the version on Disney Plus (and probably disc) is still whatshisname guy who voices Darth Maul in TCW onwards

 

It is still Sam on Disney Plus Canada at least, just watched it

 

Anyway the point is Disney seems to take its sweet time or not even update/change things on streaming. Remember when D+ launched and Spider-Man and X-Men were all out of order?

 

They removed Jeans Guy fairly quick, though.

Their argument is that he didn't sign off on it and his family are ghouls. I think that if the estate signs off on it, then it's fine. This has been building for a long time since "Forrest Gump" used archive footage to interact with Tom Hanks.

 

it goes back further , movies like Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid etc. and adverts back in the 80's. I can't believe actors aren't leaving instructions about whether their image can be used in these ways.

 

Prometheus is better than Romulus.

 

Does Ridley Scott have anything to do with these 'sequels' ?
