CT Original Trilogy returning to theaters for wide release May 4th 2024!?! Is it true?

Looking for answers here and didn’t find an existing thread or anything addressing this news.

There are rumors online - some saying this is already officially happening. I cant find anything official from Lucasfilm / Disney announcing it. There are movie theater listings however that 5/4/2024 will see a one day wide release of the Original Trilogy to theaters and on 5/5/2024 the Prequel Trilogy.

It’s touted as the first time the 4K remasters of the movies - the versions first released in 2019 - will see theatrical release. It also seems to piggyback on The Phantom Menace’s short 25th anniversary release.

One day only for the Original Trilogy. Saturday May the 4th. Anyone have more info on this?

 

None that I know of. Right now it's TPM due to the film turning 25 this year.

 

It is true because I just spent 7 hours watching the ST (sadly, the 1997 versions) back to back on the biggest cinema screen in town.

Do you mean the OT?

 

The OT (along with the other 6 films) are being shown throughout the UK this month.
