Andor Orson Krennic

I know we have a general imperials thread but I think he deserves his own thread now. So discuss everyone’s second favorite white clothed imperial

 

I'm not the biggest Andor fan, just prefer a bit more Jedi in my GFFA stories. However, to see Krennic go up against Dedra Meero as rivals, is something I'm excited about. Both driven by ambition; Krennic seems ego driven, while Meero's seem about doing the right thing for Empire. If we get Krennic, do we get a Vader cameo?

 

I'm a big Ben Mendelsohn fan but not much of a Krennic fan. Here's hoping he gets more of a chance to really flex than he did in Rogue One.

And please no Vader. We don't need him, and he's already overused as is in these projects. Plus, Gilroy has already alluded to Tarkin returning.

Krennic and Tarkin are my two favorite Star Wars villains.

 

I wouldn't mind a limited use of Vader.. even if he was in the background or mentioned would be enough... Andor is not his story... but the death star is where we see him at the end of episode 3...

 

Including Vader or Tarkin inherently diminishes Krennic. His rivalry with Dedra Meero sounds much more interesting (although it also leaves me wondering what role Syril Karn has left to play).

 

Please more Vader & his castle, I want Krennic shaking in his boots again... don't choke on your aspirations dude!

I don't think Gilroy will bring those characters into his own production. Too gimmicky I think. I hope we don't even see them in the background, and be even better if they're not mentioned.

Has there been any other characters besides Mon Mothma, from the OT in this series?

Gilroy has said he isn't a Star Wars fan. Which probably helps make the show and not feel the need to use say Vader or any other fan favorites as the thought probably just isn't exciting to him as it would a fan of the series.

It seems like he found something he was interested in with Andor, probably a more political stance and just focuses on that.

Me too. Especially since in this case Krennic has more power and Dedra will have to figure out how to outmaneuver him.

 

Do we know that rivalry will define their relationship? I suspect so. But has it been confirmed?

 

Gilroy doesn't seem to be the one to do left field cameos like Vader. Whoever they bring in will be important to the story

They can bring him in without CG. Just recast. Or use prosthetics.

 

I think we will get Tarkin as The Death Star is close to complete. A cameo that hints at their rivalry that continues in Rogue One. I am very excited for more Director Orson Krennic.

He was given the sash as a prize for winning Best Cape in the Mr. Empire competition.

 

It’s obligatory for Italian politicians to wear ceremonial sashes at certain ceremonial events and such. And I believe it’s a practice in a number of other European countries. So clearly some kind of ceremony.

But now I want to see Krennic wearing a tiara. Thanks @Sarge.
