ST Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) in the ST

IMO It sounds pretty cool if he reveals he has a Wife/Fam,(kinda like Hawkeye in AOU,)
and maybe in VIII/IX they get killed or something which really impacts the story..

after seeing their little christmas duet last year and now seeing this photo, I'm starting to become a Poe/Rey shipper.

TFA should have been about FN-2187 breaking out a ten year old Poe Dameron.

 

Interesting that Poe Dameron has his own comic series.

 

It's easier to do a spinoff series about Poe because unlike most of the other new characters there's nothing mysterious about his background (with the exception of how his mom died when he was 8)

 

I kind of think that they are going to keep Poe's character quite simple in terms of back story etc., kind of like Han, who we never learn anything about other than he's a smuggler with a bounty on his head and he falls in love with Leia.

 

Now watch what happens 20 years from now when we get a Poe prequel film about him becoming a new Republic pilot at 18.

 

I guess I had kind of forgotten about the 'new films every year' until the fans (or franchise) dies set up we might now have!

 

Aren't there comics about his parents? TPTB obviously thought it was worthwhile to introduce them. And the Damerons were given the other force tree by Luke. Whether that has any future significance, we'll see. But that's quite a bit more than we got with Han at this point in the OT as far as background.

If the upcoming Poe Dameron Flight Log book is anything like Rey's Survival Guide, we're probably see more about Poe's backstory there. Before The Awakening also had a little bit about Poe's relationship with his parents.
