I plan on updating tomorrow, but I might not, simply because my best friend has Soccer State Championships...
And I'm going to cheer for her.

 

Bradley stroked Tahiri's hand worriedly. "C'mon, Solo, bring 'er the antidote," the Jedi murmured.
Han Solo walked in.

"How is she?" The former smuggler asked. Bradley shrugged."Do you love 'er?"

Brad looked at Anakin's Angel. Her blonde hair was billowing gracefully around her beautiful, pale face. A gentle breeze whooshed in and rustled his hair. ?I do. But I can't have her. She said so herself,? He looked at Han. ?She loves Anakin.?

Han smiled. ?You know, this may not be comforting, but Tahiri and Anakin 'complete' each other. Who do you feel complete around??

?Tahiri,? Brad looked back to the woman on the bed.

?No, you want Tahiri. Who do you really feel complete around??

Bradley's eyes widened. ?I've never really given it much thought, but Angelica and I ...? He looked to the older man. ?Do you think?? Han nodded with a smirk. ?Will you watch Tahiri for a while?? His voice had taken on a different tone. ?I need to see someone.? Bradley rushed out of the room.

Han chuckled and leaned back in his chair. ?Wow, that was easy.?

Anakin Solo wrung his hands.
They had just come in range of Yavin IV.
He [i]had[/i] to get the antidote to Tahiri, and he had to get it to her soon before...
[i]?Please identify yourself,?[/i] Tionne's voice interrupted Anakin's pace.

?It's Anakin Solo. Please, hurry!?

[i]?Anakin! You're just in time. Come on in, quickly!?[/i]

As soon as they touched down, Anakin leaped out of the vessel.
His feet pounded anxiously down the halls, but unfortunately, lessons were just dissipating.
Many Jedi became obstacles. Anakin became agitated and jumped over them.
It took him nearly five minutes to wind around that people that did not intentionally intercept him.
?Tahiri! People, she's dying! Let's me through!?

He stumbled into the sick bay and headed immediately to the emergency ward.
?Tahiri!? Everyone in the ward stood. ?I have the antidote, Cighal, how do we give it to her!??
The Calamarian grasped the antidote, placed it in a dispenser, and injected it into Tahiri's arm.

A long, solid note of sound echoed throughout the ward.
?What's happening?!? Anakin exclaimed.

Cighal brought out more equipment. ?She just went flatline,? she explained quickly.
A huge jolt moved Tahiri's body, but her heart did not begin to beat again.
Cighal tried several times; yet failed.
She eventually sat back sadly. The long, solid note of sound deafened them all.
?I'm sorry, Anakin,? she sighed. ?I was wrong. I can't save her.?

Anakin shook his head in disbelief. ?But, you're never wrong! C'mon, help her out!? His voice broke. ?We can't just abandon her,? his fist tightened around the bed post. Cighal shook her head and exited the room sadly. Her staff followed her with pale expressions. ?Tahiri..,? Anakin moaned. He took his dead wife up into his arms and clung to her tightly. He wept uncontrollably into her hair, holding her lifeless hands to his cheeks. ?Don't give up on me, Tahiri. Don't give up on life,? his hands cupped her jaw, slipping in between strands of her blonde hair. He kissed her lips gently. ?Don't you dare leave me,? he whispered fiercely. Another sob broke from his throat. ?You know I can't survive without you,? Anakin stroked her cheek. ?Tahiri...? More tears coursed down his cheeks. His eyes shut tightly and he crushed her against his side, sobbing brokenly into her neck and hair.

There was nothing anyone could do to comfort him.
The love of his life had been senselessly and cruelly murdered.

As soon as Leia and Han entered their apartment, the tears came. ?He won't leave the emergency ward,? Leia sobbed. Her husband drew her into his arms, kissing her forehead tenderly. A few tears of his own coursed down his rough cheeks.

After a few moments, Han sighed. ?I remember when I first saw Tahiri.?

I just thought I'd let you know I'm enjoying this. That was a clever idea with the heartbeat line at the end, of course if anyone can get Tahiri back to life it will b Anakin.
