By now I have three chapters of very bad writing. but if I manage to plot and cover the whole story this month, I will have forever to turn it into something worth reading.

OK, about 150 pages or so into Triple Zero and I'm kinda waiting for something to happen. The character beats are good, but I feel it's a slow start for their search for this terrorist cell on Coruscant. I'm just getting to Etain's intro to Vau and her helping in his prisoner 'interrogation' so maybe the action will begin to pick up more. Is impatience a sign of the dark side?

im still wodering if anybody knows a better place to learn to fluently read/write/ and speak the language. Or if any one might even be so kind, as to assist me...

 

ducky youl pick up on it if you read the commando books by KT. and ya i forgot that it will come up as a link if you just type it kinda a bad slip of the mind it was early and i didnt have any yet.

 

realy? i'll learn it just from reading commando books? therer's a VERY limted amount of words in there right? im not completely disbanding the idea, but im assuming that since it has to be understandable to english speaking people, there can't be enough mando'a material in there to learn mando'a fluently.

And there'sd Mando poetry around and once NaNo (National Novel Wriring Month) is over I will try to collect the weeks. Maybe post them in the language thread over at Lit? That way we could collect them without cloggin this thread.

And opnce you got the few grammar rules it becomes a matter of just sitting dowen and learning the vocab. I always suggest you do something with it actively. Try to translate something into Mando, try to write in Mando, sing Vode An if it helps...
Anyway, there is not enough Mando around to speak fluently. *sigh*

o btw so what exactly is nano. national novel writing week? so what every1 who writes just writes a week? or is it like a large nvention of some sort?

You may be able to talk fluently, but you cannot talk about the things you nomrally would. Try to say: I read a book, I played a computer game (hm thatt might just work) i did homework, I ws at work, my wife can't cook, my dog ate my goldfish... unnumbered impossibilities.

my vode an a good idea that im gonna do is take mando words and make your own mandolarian war chant/song! like the link i gave you i printed all that out so thats what i got to work with while doin this.

i think we should make a list of all the mando'a that theres reference to
like theres KT site and the wookipedia that i showd.

 

Not the same, but a similar one for sure, kuhns.
And, though they're not war chants, that's what I tend to do. Poetry does not rely so much on being precise, so it works well with a language that lacks half the words I wanted to use.

We could try and put them all into the first post of the Thread. Would have to ask a Mod to do that....

Hs best friend Paul, who for some reason was convinced he was Super Man [and yet some how was popular with th girls], chased after Saddy while saying "YES, THEY DO!"
Paul reached Saddys bed room just seconds after Saddy him self, but found thatSaddy wasn't there at all. The only thing that had changed in his room, was that the far wall was missing! As paul looked past the wall [or rather, the lacking of it], he noticed wat looked like large bird, or possibly even a plne, flying off in the distance.
