I thought I heard somewhere along time ago that Hill, Beecher, Verne, Said and one other inmate would nevere be killed off.

Thats why they cant kill Hill DVader, who else would do the intros?

    Im getting scarred.

Sate, I had the exact same reaction. I have changed my mind and now believe it is Augustus.

    Im getting kinda scarred now.

There hasnt been a cliffhanger like this since the: "What to about Adebisi" situation.

Some shows make a killing doing what the commercial did. I have seen previews for shows like Friends where they totally lead you to believe that 'x' will happen, but when you watch the show 'z' happens. Now, Im not sure if OZ follows this same formula of totally fooling the audience. True, they trick us occassionally but, thats only because we jump to the conclusions...they never prompt us to.

So, that being said, I have absolutely no idea what they are going to do.

Hill and Omar both have strong cases. Tim would cry over both of their deaths; Hill might take one for Burr; Omar I believe was seen in that scene; Hill is seen wheeling right by Burr before the shanking; Omar's time has expired; Hills' real life career is taking off....so he may want to leave the show anyway.

And of course, we can all just be jumping to conclusions and maybe neither one of them dies. Maybe it is Hill and he's just hurt really, really bad. That would seem to make the most sense.

Oh, let me correct, I don't believe for a second he'll be dead, but he'll be seriously wounded. Think about it. Augustus getting stabbed will be all the reson Burr needs for an all out war with everyone. We could have some conflict over the drug trade that we haven't seen since the days of Adebisi and Nappa.

Remember we saw Timmy get stabbed and he survived just fine.

Before I dive into my opinions for the coming episode, I just wanted to let everyone know, that HBO is re-runing the entire 1st season of Six Feet Under next week,
    Thursday Episodes 1-4, :)
    Friday 5-8 8-}
    Saturday 9-13 [face_laugh]
    Sunday episode 1 of Season 2 :D

Its on HBOP I'm not sure of the time, so check your local listings...

Ok, I really don't think its Agustus who gets stabbed, I'm putting money on Omar...But as many of you have said & being a loyal Oz watcher from day one, I know all too well, that you should never put money on anything with this show, cause you will be wrong.

I loved Ryan when he said " Robson went to the dentist & got himself a nice ole set of Ghetto Gums" I cracked up at that one, I like Ryans character, talk about complex..jeasus, Tom Fontana really knows how to flush out characters.

For some reason, I have a feeling Cyril is going to be exiting the show sooner than later, they really have done all they can do with his character, I hate saying that, cause I love Cyril. but who knows with this show, just when you think you have figured it out, they throw you a loop hole.

And what about Keller, whats gonna happen there?? I wasn't suprised that Katherine & Toby didn't work out, there was no way that it could have once Keller came back.

Did someone ask if Father Ray died in the fire??? Nope, he was seriously injured..I dig father Ray..

Kessel & I will be in Vegas Sunday night..so we are gonna have to catch it on Tuesday night when we get back, I have a feeling that we are not done with the Miguel/Rivera storyline..it kinda felt like thats gonna go somewhere. & seeing Miguel take part in the program was so great, seeing him go thru all he has, from his baby's death to the whole thing in solitary, being taken off his meds...it was hard to watch at times..but Oz wouldn't be Oz if it wasn't hard to watch, thats why I love it.

    I cast thee up!!!!!

I really hope that its not Agustus, who will narrate if he goes :(

I guess we'll have to wait and see, but at least it is less than 48 hrs away. But that also sucks cuz then there wont be any new Oz episodes for months, more likely a year. :(

Anyway, I believe in Kessel Runner's assessment that just because Augustus may get stabbed does not necessarily mean that he will die. As KR said, this would be the perfect catalyst for Redding to declare all out war in Em City, instead of the pretense of friendship with the Latinos, he will now want them all dead, especially the Sicilians, cuz obviously it is Urbano who does the deed.

Speaking of Urbano, I would not want to be him, especially if he does stab Augustus. When Hill was in the hospital, just about everyone in Em City asked about him, regardless of ethnic affiliation. Augustus is obviously a well loved prisoner, and Id hate to see what will happen to Urbano if he seriously injures or even kills him. I bet he dosent even survive the episode either way. If its one thing Burr knows how to do, is exact swift and brutal justice.

    UP UP UP !!!!

ok, I watched last Sundayys episode tonight, I had to get it on tape, & when it was done I paused the ad for next week & went frame by frame too see if you can see anything clearer. I noticed 2 things

the 1st is that we see Miguel being escorted back to solitary..It was such a fast shot, I had to go frame by frame.

the most upsetting in my book, I went frame by frame when we see Urbano lunge towards Burr..in my frame by frame evaluation, I'm sorry to say that I'm pretty sure thats Agustus that gets stabbed.

Heres my reasons, in my frame by frame, I saw what Agustus was wearing ..along with Burr & Urbano, & the blood soaked clothes match Agustus's also, we hear Burr quickly say, Quick get someone..He was really upset...

    Please Mr Fontana don't kill Agustus!! [face_plain] :( :_|

    Wowsers Penny!!!!!

First of all, Hill probably isnt dead. They didnt show him die...just slowly slip into, whatever.

Solitary seems to be the new hot spot!!

Cant believe Venre got put away, will robsons little act redeem him and put him in charge of the aryans?

Thank god Cyril is away, Im getting tired of that story line.

..ok, one thing at a time!

    Saw it.

TOTALLY thought the shank victim was going to be someone else.

Felt both happy and sad for Alvarez as he'll be stuck in Oz but at least that means he'll be in the next season!

Thought McManus needs a vacation or at least a LONG day to unwind.

    Saw it, too.

I liked the episode but I didnt love it like I thought I would. I dont know, to me it just didnt have the feel of an OZ season finale. Im used to alot more violence and death on their season finales, as well some plotlines being wrapped up. With the obvious exception of Augustus' story arc, (whom I'll get to in a moment) all of the other plotlines continue to dangle. I was very surprised that Robson didnt die; I guess they want to keep him around for a while, which is a good thing, cuz, although I hate his character, he is one of OZ' best bad asses. The Keller and Cyril storylines had rather predictable endings, too, although a like the twist with Ryan and his baby sister. I also didnt like how nothing happened to Schillinger except being sent to solitary, and you know that he'll be back in Unit B by the time next season begins. I do agree with Sate when he says that solitary is the place to be in OZ, and I think you can include death row in there as well. With Hoyt, Keller and Cyril all up in there, things could get pretty hairy...

Overall I thought the finale was mediocre. It reminded me alot about the Sopranos third season finale, in the sense that the much hyped event (Jackie Jrs assumed death) was indeed proved correct, and the rest of the show gave us more questions than answers. I feel the same about this episode of OZ. They really hyped up who made the 'ultimate sacrifice', and that turned out to be very predictabel, too, and all of the rest of the plotlines were left dangling for next season. I know they cant wrap everything up, but they couldve given us something. ( Cloutier is a perfect example of this)

Lastly, we must discuss the final scene. Even though it was a foregone conclusion who it was going to be, I still found my heart pounding as Urbano made his way toward Burr. Unfortunately, I think it is safe to say that Augustus Hill is dead. Two thigs lead me to believe this : One, when he tells McManus that he can feel his legs, and when they show they empty wheelchair in the pod at the end. I think that imagery is supposed to mean that he is indeed dead. If he is though, the question still remains : Will there be a new narrator next season, or will they do away with it all together ?

I agree, the season finale wasn't exactly a keeper.

One problem just seemed to be that they had too many storylines, none of which got properly resolved in any shape or form. Everything is not really on a cliffhanger but just sort of...dangling around. Not the best place to be until next season. The only thing that seemed more or less set up for a good continuation was the Cyril/Ryan situation although I have to admit, the sister thing just seemed to come out of nowhere for me. And not as a "what a surprise!" but more as a "the heck is this?"

My bet is that Hill has gone to the great Pod in the sky. He had some pretty typical "last words" and McManus did the typical, "let's not go get help but stand and stare in muted horror/silence at the man dying" thing which always means hope for survival is lost.

I hope Augustus isnt dead man.....

I hope Mcmanus takes it easy on Omar White...

You guys know that Shillinger is going to kill Beecher for ratting..

I assume the Muslims will help protect him...

I wonder if Robson is going to be let back in the Brotherhood...or maybe Wolfgang gets in the the Brotherhood by shanking Robson...that may be Shillingers only answer to the Robson issue...at any rate you know Wolfgang is going to try to kill White....

I can't wait for Kirk to get the chair...

And for father Mocatta(did I spell that right?) to come back....

That kinda stinks that they didn't address the reverend Cloutier issue in the season finale.....

    I hope Pencamo lives...

all in all..even though I enjoyed it..OZ haz gone downhill... :(

Well, I wouldnt say that Oz has gone down hill, the actors and the writing are as good as ever, but I will agree that this season wasnt nearly as good as last season, or any past seasons, for that matter.

    heheheee...DVader.

Thats what I forgot to mention, Omar White. As most of you know, I truly detest Omar...havent liked him since the moment he appeared on the screen. However, after watching last nights episode I have a new found respect for him. What he did to Wolfgang was amazing. Now, I dont necesarily mean that he's my new fav character....I just see him in a whole new light.

Ah yes, jittery Omar White. Who knew he had apparently super strength within that skinny bony body of his so much so that he could take down a man that large?

Yeah, Omar is NOT one of my favorites. I could barely understand his lines half the time.

I love Omar. He may be a recovering crackhead, but the actor who portrays him has excellent range and really gives us the feel that he is, well, a recovering crackhead. Im glad Omar will be around for season six.

I was on the official OZ site yesterday and I heard a rumor that Adebisi's ghost will be coming back to be the new narrator. ;)

Nah, but I did hear another rumor that at least seems plausible. I heard that Poet will become the new narrator. I will go back to the OZ site and check and see if it has been confirmed.

You know, even though I hate Poet, I can kinda see it...

UP, DAMN YOU !! UP !!!
