I hope not. Too many of these "POV" explanations, and the validity as an explanation starts to wear a little thin.

The POV thing works well with Obi-Wan and Luke, but seems kind of lame for these other issues.

 

I don't know, maybe I buy into it too much, but I'd believe it. I'd rather fall for the POV thing than ignore logic, just to literally explain something. It makes more sense for me (now, mind you) to believe that their science is advanced enough to tell she's having twins, than having Lucas just "forget" about it. But this could go a dozen different ways, so this is kind of pointless I suppose.

 

Very easily could be one of those certain POV things. I know several couples who went to the doctor and specifically asked not to know the gender of their child. So, RS77 could be right that Vader's surprise was not that Luke had a twin, but that the twin was female.

I also hope it isn't a certain POV thing but IMHO think it is important enough for an explanation (however brief, on-screen or off) to be expected. Here's hoping...
