    ObI-WaN-JeDi-GuRl,
    Those veils are actually made by www.belgian-lace.com. They are beautiful, and I am actually considering ordering one for my wedding this fall. This one in particular is very nice:
    [image=http://members.aol.com/dbkveils/v90633.jpg]

    Here is a link to a wedding thread with some pics of a bride with a belgian lace veil:

    pics

    More mantilla veil pics in this thread (great pictures!):
    wedding channel link

    Now Padme's veil looks a little different to me in that it:
    - has beads
    - has elaborate lace throughout, with very few sheer areas
    - is shaped to her head on what looks like a Juliet cap

    Here are some more veils that I think are similar:
    [image=http://www.honitonlace.com/veils/largeveils/lv_images/lv135c.JPG]

    [image=http://www.affordable-bride.com/Veils%202001%20large/AB-V1028-Face-large.jpg]

    And the headpiece is sort of like Grace Kelly's:
    [image=http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b2df35b3127cce9c01b36f67ec0000004410]

    The movie definately made me want one of those veils!

    Here is also a little more information that might be helpful:
    making a veil

    yes, I am obsessed!

    See? That's why I asked. :) Always better to have more than one opinion. (Especially on things like "What color is this dress?"...)

    Great picture! Thanks so much :)
    YEAH! We're actually seeing more of this beautiful dress f-i-n-a-l-ly!!!

    Oh, tell me if you share this observation--I knew that we figured they had seamed the veil along the crown to give it a more cap like appearance-but in this most recent photo doesn't it appear to be elastized in the back to kind of hug the hairline near the neckline?

    I think I will put a digital picture of it on here....

    I will ask her very soon so you can see for yourself...

    Yes, it does look bunched up in the back, possibly the effect of elastic. It also looks like the veil could be a rectangle of lace, the way one edge pokes out way up high in the back, and the ends are more towards her waist. Interesting.

    That is a very good picture, but it does get a little frustrating when there are so FEW pictures of this wedding dress. There are some full gown shots, but they're really tiny or have horrible quality.

    When will we get some large, good quality, and full shot of this gorgeous gown? - there have to be some somewhere!

    I personally can't wait for the DVD to come out!

    Does anyone else think that the release of info. is severely lacking for AOTC? It's like they overdid everything with TPM, and have tons of extra crap laying around in KayBee stores. Now, as a result, they aren't releasing enough stuff for this movie! No CD-Rom, no 12" Padme dolls, no calendar....This stinks!

    Hey,

    Aorry to bug everybody but, has anybody notice what Obi-Dawn's done for the Yellow Picnic Dress thread? Her summarized version. It's absolutely wonderful, and I was just wondering, is there a chance that somebody might do that for this dress too?

    Thank you!

    Well, there's not really enough information on this dress to do something like that yet. Unfortunately. And I think Ferd's the only one actively working on a copy of this dress. So far most of the posts in this thread are comments about how pretty it is, and how irritating it is to not have good pictures of it. :(

    Yeah that is a great picture :) I don't know why they are STILL keeping those pics secret--I guess November isn't that far away--I do think that maybe there was a little too much merchandising for TPM that maybe they scaled back this time around (maybe a little too much)
    I am working on this dress (among other things) I have told anyone else who might inquire that I would be much more comfortable waiting until for DVD before tackling this again. A lot of handwork and beading to be done without Excellent pics to work from. I do feel like I've got a good feel for the structure and fabrics, and even the beading and look of the veil--but I just want to see more. Don't we all??

    Here's an OOAK someone did for this dress. It's gorgeous, if not completely accurate!

    Wow! That's gorgeous, even if it isn't completely true to the original.

    Can someone define OOAK, please? Forgive my ignorance...hehe...^^;;

    That dress is really great! I'm always envious of people who can work in such a small scale :)
    Very Pretty!

    Explore that website a bit. She did some other really nice work, including a replica of the picnic dress.

    Well the dol lshe used for the Padme doll is named Tyler Wrentworth..from Robert Tonner.

    I personally don't like this doll but I have the 15 1/2" Rose from Titanic doll with all her wardrobe, she is made by Franklinmint.com but her clothes are very expensive and the doll itself cost 135$.
    but I really enjoy her and I am missing only 4 dresses right now :):):):)
