It was great to watch it again and my favorite sequence was when Sparrow and Elizabeth are stranded on the island...

I haven't watched the extras though because for some reason the Apex in my room won't even acknowledge the disc as being in the tray which I guess shouldn't surprise me. And I haven't had a chance to use the other DVD player in the house yet. As for Wal-Mart they probably had the DVD and VHS lowered to a competitors price to match them.

Don't forget the "easter egg" at the end of the movie if you didn't see it at theaters!

Drat! Wish I had known that when I saw it in the theaters.

Still waiting until X-mas, though. :(

I got mine at Wal-Mart and they gave each person that bought it an 'actual' prop of the movie. A gold coin that was used in the cave with all of the other treasure. It's real, believe me. It's not the Aztec gold, but they had about 5000-8000 coins that were used in that cave. My dad doesn't think it's a real coin from the movie, and I didn't think it was at first, but maybe it is... ;)

I just watched all 19 deleted scenes about a minute or 2 ago and they are really awesome. I don't know if any of you know of Trevor Goodard (he played Mic Brumby on the tv series "JAG") that was the last film he ever did before he died which I find real sad.

The "ships" documentary was really cool as well. I also watched the "Primiere" and that was neat as well.

I'm sure glad my parents got me the DVD when it came out rather then having to wait anxiously for Christmas time to arrive.

i absolutely loved the deleted scene that is the extended version of Capt. Jack trying to say parlay.. this is mostly because of the reference, to one of my favorite movies, Benny & Joon (which also stars Johnny Depp). His reference to raisins and humiliated grapes is from a quote from Benny & Joon [face_love]

Sigh... I need to wait for christmas now. Last time I stuck something on a list and later bought it, someone got me the same thing... oops.
How are the commentaries on this DVD?

I have to say that the Keira Knightley/Jack Davenport select scene commentary is the hi-lite of the package.

They sound like they're having so much fun!!

I found a hidden extra on disc 2. On one of the menus, clicking the right navigation button on the remote highlights a tooth on the pirate in the menu picture. This leads to a time-lapse video of the cave set being constructed.

I liked the "Pirate-cam". That was cool...especially when Johnny takes the camcorder and starts filming with it. He is just so cool. I'm really glad he's been nominated for a Golden Globe and now he has been nominated for a SAG award which is pretty awesome considering the genre of the film. There is talk of an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. If there ever has been an actor out there that deserves that, it's Johnny Depp. He is an outstanding actor and really hasn't gotten the recognition he deserves (and I'm not really sure he wanted it either.) But he is one of the top actors in the industry today as far as sheer talent goes...... (not to mention he's just so gorgeous... [face_love]
