I think it's just different environments of the same planet (that being Vandor). For the Cloud Riders to go interplanetary would require them to have a Pirate (space)Ship. We have heard nothing of a Pirate Ship in any of the merchandise and I'm guessing that something that 'cool' would have been leaked already.
You might be right indeed. They dont seem to have some big spaceship or someting... ...but there could be other possibilities: hired and transported by the empire, hidden inside our hero's ship, offscreen secret arrival etc etc... Also that would break the one environment for one world formula. Which is always possible of course but it all makes me think that the two locations being two different planets is a strong possibility....i could be wrong of course...but i was right for Eadu, im giving myself undeserved-yet-enjoyable gratuitous credits for that ;-) i believe in my all mighty psychic fan powers
I can see it ending as Han and Chewie land the Falcon on Tatooine, Han turns to Chewie and says "this place looks ripe for making easy money".
in the kessel description it' says luxurt for the elite, harsh poverty for everyone else. so.. do we think dryden is on kessel now?
So we have (seemingly) quite a bit of promotional material and leaked info on the film and four planets confirmed - Corellia, Mimban, Vandor, and Kessel, appearing in that order. Wonder about the rumors of Savareen and Iridium, how do they fit into Solo, if at all? Will they be “cameo” appearances like Wobani or Ring of Kafrene in R1? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Those four planets all fit on the Monopoly board. It would be weird if there's any other location of any significance. That's providing the Coastal Village/Derelict Refinery is on Vandor of course.
I’m still crossing my fingers for a prologue or epilogue set on Kashyyyk. The former showing Chewie and his clan captured by Trandoshan slavers. The latter could be Han and Chewie returning freed slaves from Kessel. Or why not both?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm down for seeing Kashyyyk, as long as it's completely redesigned from what it looked like in ROTS.
I too would like to see planets from the PT, OT, ST, ACT, SAT, FBI, IATI, and JCF make an appearance but look absolutely and completely different.
Yes agreed. I always thought that bit of ROTS was a sadly missed opportunity. Judging from the set design of the anthologies thus far, I think they could do it justice. Also we got a few more Corellia vistas in the new TV spot out today - it looks amazing! Almost getting HR Giger vibes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Talking stylistic differences. Mustafar was simply toned down a bit to look less like a Mario Bros level and more like a real place (because of the stylistic differences between ROTS and RO). As Solo seems to be shot in a similarly realistic style to Rogue One, I expect that a planet like Kashyyyk would be redesigned a little. Obviously still needs to be a planet with huge trees. Just tweaked to fit the movie.
I definitely don't want a toned down Kashyyyk. That's what we got with ROTS. The EU descriptions of Kashyyyk are what I've always wanted to see on screen, and today's tech would make that simple to achieve.
Stylistic changes don’t need to mean “toned down.” Just... more realistic looking, in this case. That’s all. Massive, realistic-looking trees.
Right, I was referring to your comment here. I just mean I want stylisticly real and ALSO huge fantasy film scale.
Some people are distinctly interested in the aesthetics of Star Wars as a visual medium. No need to be snide. Especially as I did send a letter to Ryan Church about it...
