Back in the “Hot Girl at Target” days, there was a really long post from some guy who had a crush on his waitress and embarrassed himself by making out a check to “Pizza the Hutt” to pay his bill. The first reply was “Pizza Hut only has one T you nerd.”
I wish this was true. It's not. Most Trump voters don't know what communism and socialism is. They're not going to understand what an oligarchy is even when they're looking right at it. All the Trump voters that complain about too much money in politics and draining the swamp will think it's a good thing that the tech people are buddy-buddy with Trump.
I imagine there are plenty of Google, Amazon and Meta employees who are dismayed by these developments, but they can go **** themselves just like the rest of us can. That's the whole point of an Oligarchy: who asked you anyway? If I want your opinion, I'll send it to you in a corporate email.
That is simply not true. I know people who have contemplated resigning, but many people are hostages to their paychecks and don't have the luxury of going "post-economic" like I might being old and close to retirement.
They think they “earned” it and if you want eleventy million billion trillion dollars you should just be smart and have a father who owns half an emerald mine like Elon, or you should be innovative and have parents who can give you three hundred thousand dollars to start a business out of your garage like Jeff. Those aren’t the ‘swamp’. In order to be part of the swamp you have to be a lawyer who rises to politics through the DNC.
Do you think everyone who works at a gas station doesn’t care about climate change, or everyone who works at a grocery store love Monsanto (if they even know of their unjust food monopoly)? We all need jobs to survive. We have to try for the best and be as ethical as possible, but it’s tough, and sometimes it’s just a privilege.
The Bison-Shaman MAGA person famous from 1/6 realized he got a pardon… and… well… Spoiler: MAGA Bison Shaman Guy
If you mean ‘reformed MAGA,’ I think they were probably more likely targeting Republicans who were never MAGA but who also weren’t typically willing to support any Democrat. Mitt Romney types who were staying home or writing in someone they personally like. They no doubt overestimated the size of them, simply because they are the conservatives whom political strategists would personally know, but it’s not an insignificant number of people given the margins they thought they were dealing with. Instead they should have been targeting low information voters who were simply mostly disengaged. People who don’t know or care who the hell Liz Cheney is. But I don’t think reformed MAGA was on their mind much, given how small that population likely is (probably just this Granny, as the tweet is getting at).

She didn’t even say anything radical. She just said that we should care for the vulnerable and the marginalised. That’s literally her job. Yet for this, she will be no doubt physically targeted by actual radical people. She did an incredibly brave thing. There’s a special layer of hell for this supposed ‘Christians’ like Johnson.
