HanSolo29 has given you more information than I can. Yesterday I couldn't get on the boards and assumed they were down; when they weren't back up by the afternoon I opened a new tab and tried to get on from there, at which point Sky informed me that the site I was trying to reach was blocked because it posed a risk involving either phishing or malware. I waited to see if the situation would be resolved on its own, and when it wasn't I added both theforce.net and boards.theforce.net to my exceptions list.

 

Hey question can you link to an IMGUR album or do you need to post images separately?

 

In my quest to unlike all of JKF’s posts (cause cringe) I have discovered something. In some older threads there is the warning symbol on chrome. However it does not have to do with people posting images or not. The warning symbol seems to pop up randomly only in threads from like 2016-2014 (may be further back than that. Just thought you guys should know. I’ll try screenshotting it next time it pops up.

edit: can confirm it’s due to how people upload photos. Interesting in some threads it only gives the phishing warning for specific pages in other threads it gives them for the entire thread.

 

I get it in random places. It doesn't force a pop up but does have a little exclamation mark in the url bar. I didn't even notice it until I saw the posts here so it isn't a big deal. But this is from the main page of the Saga In Depth forum, which would have nothing to do with images etc.

This is from mobile, I haven't been on my actual computer today to look and see if it does the same.

I'm having the same issue and adding the site to my exceptions list is not working. I can, however, get on via my phone when I'm not connected to my wifi.

Had to change my DNS settings but got my nonsense figured out. My ISP is blocking the forums (though not TFN itself).

Looking at that start date in the footer makes me feel old!

 

It looks like the "back to top" was moved. It had been in the lower right corner, now it's in the lower left.

 

Still on the right on mobile for me anyway.

 

That's because when I looked for it in the usual place, it was gone.

 

The table widths seem to have been extended on mobile as well, which is nice. It feels less cramped anyway.

 

Okay I thought I was just insane. Lol. Came here about to say did the forums change by like 5% lol.

 

I like it! Any chance a direct link to the disallowed words list could be added to the new footer? That's the rules-related page I'm most likely to want/need to refer to when writing a post and it would be sweet to have it linked right below the text box instead of having to jump all the way to the top and then scroll back down to the bottom each time. (Or even better, incorporate the link into the area around the text box, though that would be more work.)
