Prince is the most overrated musician ever

Well, going on that arguement, you can't base an opinion on someone unless you've heard everything they've ever sung. That means I can't say that Greenday sucks, I suppose?

 

I find The Beatles, Pink Floyd or LZ more overrated personally.

The Beatles () , LZ, Pink Floyd () all contributed to music as we know it.

Prince is a great musician and I'll always stand by that.

Where did I say I only ever heard his 80s material? I'm obviously not the ignorant one here.

The only reason I specifically pointed out his big hits of the 80s is because every Prince fan I've ever met hails his material from that period as a godsend.



And I stand by my position - Prince can play multiple instruments, which undoubtedly takes talent. As for his actual songwriting and singing ability, I think it's completely boring, uninspiring, and contrived schlock. He gets far too much praise for his artistic and songwriting ability.

 

He's pretty good, but he hasn't written a memorable song in ages.
