after announcing wwe's acquisition of aaa, a worlds collide event has been announced with nxt on june 7th at the kia forum

hopefully tna gets worked into that event as well, would be cool

 

Was wondering why we hadn't heard a peep about AEW's relationship with AAA lately. Holy ****.

 

i think they've got a good thing going with cmll at the moment. this was telegraphed a bit with the high-profile acquisitions of vaquer, penta, and fenix.

vikingo was at the event with hhh, would bet he'll be on the card this time next year.

 

there's a street fight tomorrow, so it's still possible to see tlc in the drew mcintyre/damian priest match!

re: aaa, i am personally not a huge fan of acquisitions like this. the more competition and variety, the better for everyone. i love when companies partner and interact, but i do not love when they're eaten (directly or indirectly) by any of the bigger fish. i am worried about noah in japan - i won't pretend to be a huge fan, i usually stick to stardom and njpw occasionally, but they're a unique company with a cool history and style, and i don't think turning them into "wwe japan" benefits anyone. i am also hopeful that fans of the aaa product can continue to see it, and the company's entire history is not locked behind a pay service a la "honor club" for roh.

interested to see how this unfolds, and i am looking forward to the worlds collide event.

hot start to this match, the hatred between the two is believable. i think tiffany’s head is cut.

…was worried when charlotte entered second lol

probably between that and tiffany/becky’s no holds barred title match in nxt as her best match. she’s clearly cut, blood in her mouth.

 

bloodline entrance for roman with all of the tributes to his father, uncle, yoko, etc. a really nice touch.

this should be an epic match.

rollins was the mvp of that match, but they all brought their a-game. reversing the spear into a pedigree was insane. the line to roman about “you lost your bloodline, you lost me, and you lost mox” was NUTS.

great first night. tomorrow should be even better.
