Damn, Cote had to pull out of UFC 83 because of a sprained knee after slipping on some ice.

WWE are doing it again. I don't see why they're giving Jeff this string of wins, seeing as he obviously won't be the one who wins the Chamber.

My last post in this thread was May, 30th of 2005. Hard to believe the thread is still going on. Wow.

Thats why the raw Elimination Chamber is anyone's game. Nobody expects Hardy to win. Nobody really expects JBL or Umaga to win it.
Although Jeff probably has a better chance sadly than Y2J

-- It was reported over the weekend that Ring of Honor pay-per-views were recently pulled from airing in Canada because buys were practically non-existant. One of the major cable carriers reportedly only had three dozen (36) pay-per-view buys for a recent show. According to the respective websites for Viewer's Choice Canada and Bell ExpressVu, they have no upcoming showings of Ring of Honor on their systems. Anyway, we have a new ROH pay-per-view buy number, and it relates to a cable provider in the United States. ROH's last pay-per-view, Undeniable, which started airing on January 19, reportedly only had 19 buys through the Dish Network.

Sounds like the No Way Out PPV has been really good.

Big Show returned about 100 pounds lighter. He got a big pop but got the fans to turn on him by going after the injured Rey Mysterio. He then taunted Floyd Mayweather who got involved and according to reports, legitimately broke Big Show's nose.

Now that LOST is on Thursday nights, I have totally forgotten about wrestling. Oh well, I needed a break from it.

Have to give Big Show credit...no only did he lose all that weight but he's moving around pretty damn quick.

Show was in real good shape when he first started in WCW.

Ok so Triple H wins the Elimination Chamber. Can we say last match of the night at WM24. Though it has been a while scene he has been in the main event so I can see why. The only other thing is he will have to stay a face. I mean really you can't have to heels face each other.

The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer is reporting that UFC 81, which highly marketed the debut of Brock Lesnar, registered approximately 650,000 pay-per-view buys. Meltzer also mentions that UFC 81 is now the third highest grossing event in UFC history, behind only UFC 66 (Liddell vs. Ortiz II) & UFC 61 (Ortiz vs. Shamrock II). Both those cards were in 2006.

Here's the card for next week's UFC 82: Pride of a Champion

Middleweight Unification Bout: UFC vs. Pride
Anderson "The Spider" Silva (20-4-0) vs. Dan "Hollywood" Henderson (22-6-0)

    Heavyweight Bout
Heath "Texas Crazy Horse" Herring (27-13-1) vs. Cheick Kongo (21-3-1)

    Middleweight Bout
Chris "The Crippler" Leben (17-4-0) vs. Alessio "Legionarius" Sakara (16-6-1)

    Middleweight Bout
Evan Tanner (34-6-0) vs. Yushin "Thunder" Okami (22-4-0)

    Welterweight Bout
Jon Fitch (20-2-1) vs. Chris "The Professor" Wilson (11-3-1)

Heavyweight Bout (May Not Be Broadcast)
Andrei "Pitbull" Arlovski (13-5-0) vs. Jake "Irish" O'brien (10-0-0)

Welterweight Bout (May Not Be Broadcast)
Luke "The Silent Assassin" Cummo (9-4-0) vs. Luigi Fioravanti (12-3-0)

Welterweight Bout (May Not Be Broadcast)
Josh "Kos" Koscheck (11-2-0) vs. Dustin Hazelett (12-3-0)

Welterweight Bout (May Not Be Broadcast)
Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez (19-2-0) vs. David Bielkheden (12-5-0)

Lightweight Bout (May Not Be Broadcast)
Jorge Gurgel (14-3-0) vs. John "The Hurricane" Halverson (16-5-0)

Notice that Arlovski, Koscheck, and Sanchez are all on the card, but their fights may not even air! Just goes to show that no one fighter is bigger than their division and that you better step up and win if you wanna be on the big shows. All three of these big-name fighters lost their last 2 fights. Speaking of which, looks like Cro Cop is gone form the UFC. It was in his contract that if he lost 2 fights in a row UFC could either re-negotiate or cancel the contract all together. I imagine Brock has the same clause so he better step up. He's already been dropped from the card for UFC 84 in the UK because of his loss to Mir.

hmm, I may have spoken too soon. Justin McCulley, also a former pro wrestler, has stated on Inside MMA that he will be fighting Brock at UFC 85 in England....

Also, Wanderlei Silva announced on his website Friday that he will be signing a contract to fight Keith Jardine at UFC 84 in Las Vegas on May 24. Silva also announced that he is currently training with Randy Couture to prepare for the fight. Jardine himself is coming off the biggest win of his career over Chuck Liddell, probably the biggest upset in the history of MMA.

I watched the ppv on Sat. Pretty good, but I was hoping to see quicker finishes so we would get more fights. :D
I wanted to see the Arlovski (sp?) fight too.

Silva is unstoppable right now. I thought it might be a 3-4 round war after that first rd but he was all over Hendo in the second.

I guess you can give him Okami next, and unless they work in a rematch with Hendo after that, assuming Hendo fights and stays at 185, I'm not sure who is gonna beat or even challange him in the next 1-2 yrs.

Okami is pretty much the only name in that division that he hasn't destroyed yet, but it won't even be a contest if they did fight. Silva is a monster.

Also, Brock's next fight will be in August against the new HOFer Mark Coleman, first heavyweight champ from UFC12.

Bizzarely John Morrison and The Miz are going to be on the BBC Radio Scotland Fred McAulay show today.

They have already been taking the mick out of them wondering what they will look like, bad hair cuts no body hair was their guess[face_laugh]

I have no idea why their on it, it seems a stupid place to try to advertise WWE/ECW or Wrestlemania since radio scotland is mostly an older audience shall we say, ie grannys.

It should be quite funny though

Cena vs HHH vs Orton? or Taker vs Edge for the main event at wrestlemania?
I'd say taker and edge would be bigger.

i know HHH wants the title again but with Cena the invincible in the match I doubt that'll happen

What an absolute moron. No wonder they didn't give him the WWE Championship. Stupid but inevitable in his case.
