I know, but WWE's supposedly going with the idea that Edge didn't DIRECTLY lose a match at Wrestlemaina. Hence, his "I'm 6-0 at Wrestlemania!" proclamations. They kind of did this exact same thing with Edge when he challenged John Cena to a TLC match for the WWE title, when he claimed it was "A match you've never had, and a match I've never lost", even though he lost that tag team fatal-4-way TLC match for the Tag titles on Smackdown to the team of Benoit and Jericho.

In the end, I'm just going with what the WWE is "claiming". Kind of like how I went with that whole streak of Goldberg's back in the day when WCW claimed he'd gone 173-0 or something before losing to Nash, even though he'd barely fought about 140 matches or so in his entire career to that point. I know they're false, but I'm just proclaiming what the promotion is "claiming".

Sorry if there was any confusion. [face_peace]

Wait wait the WWE still has tag teams? I thought they got ready of all the tag teams. :p I know they have some. It's just when was the last time we really saw them.

I'm shocked that Randy Orton defeated Cena and Triple H. I'm also shocked that they let Taker-Edge close the show. Kudos to the decision for that.
Kane is your new fake ECW Champion. Also The Undertaker let Edge kicked out of a Tombstone, albeit a count with a ref bump. As I understand.

CM Punk has money in the bank.

I'm surprised that everything except the final Main Event and Flair-Michaels was kept relativly short apparently.

It wasn't really going to happen. Rock has said in an interview I read recently (racking my brain and can't recall where) that while he still loves wrestling and what it did for him, he isn't going back. He's wanting to move forward with his acting career, and as part of that he's now far enough past all the contracts signed with McMahon that he's phasing out "The Rock" and being credited as Dwayne Johnson. While maybe doing things like inducting his father into the Hall of Fame, or other large real-world based (ie. not storyline related) events it's unlikely he'll be involved in WWE matters.

Didn't watch Wrestlemania, since I can't afford it. Just saw the results and accompaning pics on WWE.com. SO I know who won and lost, just not much on HOW.

Anyway, it looks like a lot of my predictions were quite a bit off-target. All I got right was the Edge-Taker result, which a brainless ant could have predicted. And the Big Show-Mayweather fight, which just about everyone who knows Big Show's career could have predicted as well. And the Shawn-Flair fight, which was as obvious and predictable as the rising of the sun, what with all the hype and Flair's HOF induction and the whole "last match at the biggest stage" thing all the big stars seem to get at one point or another. At any rate, I predicted the easy calls, and got all the hard calls wrong.

Still, I'm supremely glad that the MITB match came down to a scramble between CM Punk and Jericho. Far better for it to be one of those two than MVP, who to my total happiness was utterly screwed by the return of Matt Hardy. Good win for Punk. And hopefully the WWE can use this match as a springboard to get Jericho a main-event title angle soon as well.

Congrats to Kane on winning the ECW title. Yeah, it's a "lesser" title than the twin guns up for grabs on Smackdown and RAW (what with the "minor-leagues" type vibe that the WWE is putting out for that "new ECW" brand), but at least Kane FINALLY gets a shot to carry a leading belt on a brand. I'd love to see Kane work his way back into better shape and regain the great in-ring form he had in years past. Maybe this title run opportunity will be the thing that finally breaks him free and lets him fulfill his potential, something that's been overdue for quite a few long years now.

I'm kind of surprised Orton kept the WWE Championship belt. I was almost sure that HHH would be booked to win it again on the big stage, only to drop it again in a rematch at Backlash or at a summer PPV to a new contender in time to go on a short hiatus so he can be there for the birth of he and Steph's second kid. I guess the best thing is that the WWE finally had to sense to not let friggin' Cena win yet another big Wrestlemania match. I bet you that crowd would have booed the living hell out of Cena had he won, and by extension, booed the WWE.

Anyway, I hope to see some actual footage of that HBK-Flair match REAL SOON, which seemed great. And the MITB match and the Edge-Taker match. Those are the ones I'd REALLY like to see from this year's card ASAP. As for the rest, I can see them whenever.

To close, I just have one more thing to say:

    16-0! THE STREAK STILL LIVES!!!

I honestly thought there was going to be a riot if Edge won with how the crowd was going nuts over the false finishes.

CAught most of it while at work (when you work for the cable company you get to watch them for free at the office :p ) and it seemed pretty mediocre. Not sure why they bothered to include Crips in the title match if he wasn't going to win. I guess they realized how awful a Cena/Orton match would be. Besides, no triple threat match will ever live up to WM20, but that match apparently never took place now.

Wow. What a great RAW. Truly a great goodbye for Flair. Evolution, Michaels, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, Greg Valentine, Harley Race, The Four ****ing Horsemen, amongst others...

For how many were there, there were still many who couldn't be there that night who I wish could've taken part in the goodbye like Piper, Sting, Savage, Foley, Hogan, Bobby Heenan etc. But still great.

Thanks for the memories Nature Boy.

The rest of RAW was pretty interesting too. Santino was comedy gold as usual, Matt Hardy/Orton match was sweet, Punk/Jericho was a great teaser for something larger, Cryme Tyme returned, Big Show stared down Khali, and Kendrick and London got a clean victory over Rhodes and Holly. Oh and Lawler making goofs like saying Jeff Hardy isstead of Matt Hardy and Rob Van Dam instead of Jean Claude was hilarious.

Got to finally see RAW today, the Flair segment was great. Triple H has done well with the last couple of these types of segments.

That Flair segment gave me chills. That was actually one of the best Raw's they've done in a while, and surprise, it featured little Triple H/Cena (outside the Flair tribute anyway).

Speaking of tag teams, it's not like it used to be. They have them but they use individual names. "Introducing, Sting and his partner Christain Cage." Whatever happened to tag teams? The Road Warriors, The Fabulous Ones, Doom, Harlem Heat, The Dudleys, The Rock & Roll Express, Demolition, The Steiner Brothers, The Moon Dogs, The British Bulldogs, The Rock and Sock Connection?

I wish tag teams would come back into prominence again. I miss the old Jim Crockett Senior Memorial Cup, where they had a tournament for a million dollars and 30 tag teams fighting eachother.

I actually preferred his bash on Angle:

"And even if the Rock has got to beat Kurt Angle, which means... (takes off shades and changes to a foolish looking kiddie face with voice to match) I'm going to drink a big glass of milk!,"

    (pauses before continuing on)

"Eat some chocolate chip cookies, and then maybe I'll take three Viagra!"

Now THAT was the classic one of the bunch.
