Can anyone give me examples of Pyrokinesis in all of canon, mostly novels not RPGs. I have read the Wookieepedia article and I am not 100% satisfied.

Corran Horn,- see I,Jedi. Though it is more energy kinesis than pure pyrokinesis.

    No. Read the book?

Aleema Keto in Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith.

I don't have either nor can I get them at Barnes and Nobles. Im not ordering them just to see one thing. I only read new novels.

I,Jedi is a far better novel than most of what Del Rey has put out (eg. Dark Nest, LotF, FotJ, Crucible)

Probably the only real example I can think of in canon was in Backlash, when that Nightsister attempted to use flame against a Sith. (I double-checked the Wookiee entry to be sure I was remembering correctly.)

AFA Corran's energy-conversion ability, I wouldn't call that classic pyrokinesis. He was absorbing and converting flame to another form of energy, instead of - to cite a mutant example from Marvel - Pyro, who could manipulate, intensify/diminish, and shape fire.

The Halcyon-bloodline energy power seems more akin to, but not quite the same as, Lucas Bishop's energy conversion power from X-Men. The main difference there is that Corran's ability takes a lot out of him (at least, it did in I, Jedi), and seems to be narrowly focused. (Probably to keep Force-users from turning into superheroes tossing their powers around.)

There was a Force sect known as the Ember of Vahl introduced in the WOTC Legacy Campaign Guide, which was basically a cult of pyrokinetic darksiders.

Fortunately Wookieepedia has a money back guarantee -- you'll be refunded every penny you paid to access that article.

The Star Wars: Republic comics featured a Jedi named Knol Ven'nari, who was nicknamed the Fire Eater for her ability to manipulate flame with the Force.

I'm also not entirely sure that this counts, but if you go further back to the old Marvel comics, it features Cody Sunn-Childe using the Force to survive immersion in flames and presumably training to do other stuff with fire. Admittedly, this comes from the one story that's quite possibly weirder than Glove of Darth Vader and Waru combined...

You're missing out on a lot of great novels if you only read the new stuff.

Children of the Jedi has Luke light a candle with the Force, and treats it as if its a very easy thing to do. Maybe it's just easy for Luke to do.

Either not yet, or I didn't notice it (Hambly's prose becomes very tiresome to follow after awhile).

I do wonder what Max Nocerino is going to do with all of the information he is acquiring through these tech threads. With each thread he creates, his seemingly insatiable hunger for obscure Star Wars technology grows!

Fire is a plasma. Lightning is also a plasma. So force lightning is probably as close as you're gonna get to pyrokinesis.

In The Crystal Star, the kids use telekinesis to "rub air molecules together" until a hot glow is produced- which they then manipulate.

That's characterised as one of the few really good things in the book in the eleven-thirty-eight blog.

I help administrate the Wook and I rip on it from time to time. :p

And speaking of compensation, I demand hours of my life back from TVTropes.
