As a wise man once said, “The Sith and the Jedi are similar in almost every way.”

All jokes aside, I don’t think it’s hypocrisy. Only because the Sith know and understand they train and groom children, and purposely put them into dangerous scenarios for training. They accept that as part of the training process and make no apology if said apprentice or acolyte dies. In their eyes, if they survive, they’re strong enough. If they don’t, then they didn’t make the cut.

I accuse you of trolling because you have chosen to go on a trolling spree.

There are plenty of people posting on here who dislike the show and none of them, aside from yourself, went into multiple threads to repeat the same content over and over to make sure people would see it no matter which discussion they were in. You, alone, chose to post that anyone who rates the show highly must have something wrong with their ability to think. You, alone, were so desperate to let everyone know how butthurt you are over a television show that you used the 1000 Things thread to bash the show. You, alone, ran out of any remotely meaningful criticism and decided you must still post anyway so went with nonsense about how you pause the show to point and laugh.

    Because you were trolling.
And I was pointing it out because I do not want you confused should you continue along your recent spree and find yourself banned for choosing to contribute nothing but disruption and insult of our other community members.

My point was never to insult community members and don't see when I did that. I was disappointed in this episode and perhaps I said few things more than once in a different thread. But I've said many things here that are not trolling at all.

Didn't know 1000 things thread is not allowed to include humor. I can laugh at the show too if I want though I don't think that is forbidden. Many people have been allowed to laugh at shows like The Clone Wars, Rebels, Kenobi, Ahsoka and Mandalorian but suddenly Acolyte is off-limits.

My criticism and sarcasm were directed at the show and not community members. You are suddenly attacking me personally for having opinion you don't like. It's sad that you no longer can be honest here but have to praise everything Disney produces or be accused of trolling...

Here is just one example that took me 10 seconds to locate:

I'll make you a deal. I'll go along with your denial/cognitive dissonance exercise and dig up more but I will ban you a week for each one. If you honestly want to pretend that would not result in a long ban, let me know and I'll go in to your recent post history and we can see how many weeks add up.

I'll give you a sporting chance and tell you I already have the post where you postsd what you thought of anyone who rated the last episode 10/10 already waiting in my cut & paste.

So, you can be honest and attempt to move past it or our community will get the majority of the summer off from you.

Well I referred to material not a person there "brainless action" was perhaps a poor choice of words but it was meant to comment on how suspension of disbelief works better in action-filled material apparently. Like generally people like entertainment even if it's far from believable especially it involves action.

I didn't mean anyone is brainless if they like that, but they are less critical towards writing if it has other entertaining qualities. I actually applauded honesty of this person who agreed with me that some things in episode made no sense to him but he enjoyed the action. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings.

I'm sorry if someone found my comments insulting. I try to move past this for now and tell my opinion less colorfully.

It was immediately after a new episode released and the episode clearly had some unpleasant impact on you so, of course the immediate responses would be less calm or measured. I just wanted to get you to Friday, with distance from how you were posting very strong reactions on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Everything is going better with some distance away from immediate reactions.

Folks, for our ongoing Sith discussion, an important bit of information you should consider is that Headland has confirmed there will be two Sith on the show.

    Two.

So, what you're saying is we already got this Knight of Ren and still are yet to be introduced to TWO Sith Lords?

Always two there are, no more, no less! Cant wait to meet the Master. I have my suspicions on who’s already cast for the Sith master.

Or there are no more Sith, because we've already been introduced to Bazil and Yord's padawan, who has been curiously absent since the first episode.

The Sith Master was presented to us in the very first episode. We just weren't paying attention. I mean, look. She's basically Tim Curry's devil from Legend. And her people were even slavers. Do the math, sheeple.

Already established a relationship with the Neimoidians in that limited appearance as well.

    Your math checks out.

Remember the look she gives that one Neimodian on the bridge? That wasn't a look. It was an order.

I'm .... not opposed to this. lol

Typically in a murder-mystery, the real villain is presented to us very early on. We saw Qimir in that first/second episode too I believe.

She’s so gonna fry Darth Nameless w Sith lightning! Or have her new, much more wise, apprentice who’s waiting in the wings to do the job himself.

The way he was talking about his agenda being "freedom" had a tinge of "... and that includes freedom from having a Master" to it, too. She is going to give him the freedom he desires. In death.

Having thought on it, Qimir reminds me of The Elder from Visions. I wonder how much inspiration was taken from that episode.

“Qimir’s” desire for “freedom,” collection of gimmicky weapons, and willingness to take crazy risks to get a capable Acolyte, tells me he’s actually pretty desperate, and his “freedom” obsession goes beyond mere faux-Nietzschean obsession with being bake to do whatever he wants.

After all, what most limits the freedom of a Sith Apprentice, causes them the most pain and suffering, and shackles them to both a secretive existence and to callous whims and desires?

Their Sith Master (in both meanings of the word.)

Qimir’s quickness’s in deciding to pick up Osha, his determination to see Mae get good enough to kill Jedi Master-level opponents while unarmed, and maybe even him pitting Mae against someone as formidable as Sol, might hint that Qimir lives in constant misery whenever his master turns their attention back to him, and is risking discovery by the Jedi at a level the other Sith never have, and thus needs a partner to attain the freedom he truly desires because he’s hit his ceiling.

Qimir being a Sith Lord doesn't make him the Master.

Darth Vader was a Sith Lord, but he still was the apprentice to Darth Sidious.

    Qimir: You don't remember me.
    Sol: I sense something familiar.

I don't think Qimir's talking about the encounter at the Apothecary.
I think Sol may have encountered Qimir many years ago on Brendok, while scouting for prospective younglings.
Qimir may have demonstrated powerful abilities, but would have been too old to be trained, so, he branched off and followed a different path. Perhaps Qimir lurked along in the shadows, while the Sol, Indara, Kelnacca, and Torbin scouted Brendok, plotting his revenge on the Jedi for not taking him in as a student.

Koril: What are you doing here? How many times have I told you? it is not safe out here.

I think there was someone in the vicinity who clouded Koril's judgement, instilling a fear of the Jedi. Koril may have had a bad feeling, and she drew false conclusions based upon sightings of Jedi in the area.

Obi-Wan: I have a bad feeling about this.
    Qui-Gon: I don't sense anything.
Obi-Wan: It's not about the mission, Master. It's something... elsewhere. Elusive.

From a certain point of view Sith can't be hypocritical a priori, since they are open about using whatever is necessary to achieve their goals.

Paralles between Jecki and Ahsoka are quite noticeable, in that regard Qimir seems somewhat alike Ventress - both are rather playfull, yet sadistic towards their enemies, have helmets with somewhat similar designs and problems with apprentices.

Headland's favorite Sith in Legends is apparently Darth Traya, so a female Sith Master is possible.

I've been expecting that since the beginning. And she will be Plagueis. And she will save one of her children from dying. And the only real retcon to current canon will be Palpatine is so irredeemably evil that he uses all the wrong pronouns while telling Anakin the legend of Darth Plagueis the Wise.
