You can't accept the fact you may be wrong

and that gives you the right to call me a prick- either way??? its one's who start flaming and calling people 'wuss' who seem to be unable to admit when they have been proved wrong- they resort to name calling!!!!

Nowhere in there does Lucas say: "We took some recordings of Liam saying 'Anakin, Anakin, NOOOOOOOO!' we had before and applied the to that scene"

not even close to fact. In fact, just the opposite. We got a standard Lucas answer:

"All I can really say is that you?ll find out in the next film."

That means, 'don't quote me on that, I might just change it before It's on DVD. In fact, it might be different depending upon which theater you see it in.'

This is what I mean by you can't assume anything.

Natalie Portmans Bum, as much as I appreciate your support and would like very much to scratch you, I can defend myself.

Flaming can be fun against people armed with opinions and assumptions that they claim to be fact.

    "Actually away to get dinner"

Who's making it, the husband. ;)

You are obviously so unstable as to allow a little comment like that to upset you :)

    "Make the kids day"

LoL, I'll take that as a compliment. :D

If some people want to speculate about something, no matter what it is, I don't understand why anyone here has a problem with that. Why does anyone care? Why does anybody have to take the time to question, comment, and more importantly, insult someone who wants only to speculate about something that they think is interesting to them?

I know this won't be enough to convince some of you, but:

    Neeson Talks Episode II
    Wed, Jun 26, 02 05:12:11 PM EDT

Scifi.com spoke to Liam Neeson about AOTC:
Liam Neeson told SCI FI Wire that he wasn't surprised to hear that the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn, his slain Star Wars: Episode I character, factors into the action in Star Wars: Episode II?Attack of the Clones. And he remained mum on his reported appearance in the upcoming Episode III. "I haven't seen [Episode II]," Neeson said in an interview. "My sons told me about it, but I knew it was going to happen."

In a spoiler for the latest prequel, Qui-Gon's cry of "No, Ani!" can be heard as Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) massacres the Tusken raiders that murdered his mother, Shmi (Pernilla August). "I don't know how they did that," Neeson said. "We tried to record something here [in New York City, where Neeson lives]. But then they digitalized something and put it together and sent it to me, the way they can these days, to hear [and for his approval]. I thought, 'That's good.'"

As for whether Neeson will return in either corporeal or ghostly form for Episode III, Neeson said, "I can't answer that. The Jedi code of ethics."

    Just a few nice points.

    1. It's supposed to be him

    2. They tried to get his voice but opted for something different. And he approved.

    http://www.theforce.net/episode2/index.html#17252

) back up what I have been saying- that its Qui Gons voice. Now even Liam has confirmed it. :D But i guess there will STILL be doubters. doh!

What a crappy job those boys did "digitalizing" something. Hahahaha. I still think it's odd. And I'm no more convinced anyways. 99 percent Qui-Gon -- 1% I dont know , as I've always been. My question with the whole situation still remains...Why can those people over at Skywalker Ranch create a Photo-realistic Yoda, but not make a simple "nooooo" sound even similar to Liam Neeson? That's all.

I believe 99% that it is Qui-Gon as well. But I also agree 100% that it was real crappy or deliberately ambiguous.

I cling to he's fading out and that's why it's sounding so different.

The article got the quote from the film wrong, so I don't trust that crap. Point is that he realises the Anakin Anakin part, but not the nooooooo. There.

I'm 50/50 on whether it is Qui Gonn saying the noooooo. But the people at ILM just wouldn't do that. They have great Foley Mixers, so they wouldn't make it sound soooooooo different. It would make sense if it was Anakin in the future.

Ok, so going with the idea that scifi. com is not misquoting Liam, he still doesn't know if it's all him or not.

I doubt that it is, but why change it is the real question.

Natalies' bum - Foley recording is for sound effects, not vocal mixing. The foley process is used to re-record sound effects while the film is playing, so that the timing matches up. However, this movie was shot digital, hence, with recording audio into Protools there is no longer a need for the Foley process. What it used to take 3 or 4 people practicing all day to record can be done in one take with a few clicks of the mouse. And yes, ILM and Skywalker Sound use Protools extensively.

Just cause they got the quote wrong, doesn't mean that it's not true. At this point in time, it's Qui-gon Jinn and his voice has been altered intetionally.

It's not about wether it's true or not.....It's about the "noooooo" and that's it. No one has said anything specifically about the "noooo", and it's the only thing in question, and still in question.

Ok, there is finally an answer from Ask a Council Member on the Official Site from Ben Burtt:

Q: Do I hear the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn shouting, "Anakin, Anakin... No!", in Yoda's apartment after Anakin attacks the Tusken Raiders?
A: Yes indeed, the voice that Yoda hears is that of Qui-Gon Jinn.

Notice the whole quote is included in the question. I think this should end this debate.

That's a bummer. It would have been cool if the NOOOOO! was another person. Anakin maybe. The NOOOOOO! sounds so off. I try to give it a fresh new chance everytime I see it, but it just doesn't sound remotely like Liam Neeson. Too bad. :(

Well then, I guess I was wrong. It made sense though right? Anyway, leave it up to Ben Burtt to confuse everyone and then un-confuse everyone.

Man... I can't believe that one single line has 15 pages worth of discussion. There are far more important things in life than a single line of dialog in a movie. What's worse is this one line that hardly even effects the plot at all.

You guys need to get out more.

After seeing ATOC for the 4th time Sunday, I noticed that the "No!!!" in the Yoda scene sounded a lot like Obi-Wan's "No!!!!" when Anakin charges Dooku. Perhaps Yoda was hearing the present AND the future during his meditation.
