Tracinya made me turn on my Mando playlist? And I?m finding it strange and disturbing that I can feel the pulse in my upper arm beating in rhythm with Vode An. When looking back on Honor Guard, I noticed something very, very weird about my characters: they were all damn pessimistic - and that's something I want to change in the sequel.

IIRC, in the chapters you read already, the changes are rather minor. More major spoilers are in the last few chapters, the epilogue, and, of course, the prologue.

The one thing I hate about reading Vong stuff. The Vong themselves?can we say the stuff of nightmares?? Who would want a hole for a nose?! Dude could use some serious spa time.

Hey everyone, it's pirates day!

Alright, I must admit Honor Guard has not any tiny bit to do with pirates...

But, as I little spoiler for the sequel (I'm on it... I got some pages finished, but not sure about when to unleash it - and after all, I've got still five NJO books to catch up, after all ), I can reveal that there is a very slight possiblity you might see Captain Jack Sparrow going crazy about Vong - and now don't say I didn't warn ya!










Okay, to be honest, there's going to be nothing like that. But from a certain point of view, one might see some pirates in the sequel...

Anyway, how about some new readers, eh?

It looks as though you've utilized one of the promo shots from Bounty Hunter for the armoured torso, but where'd you cull that head from? It's so perfectly suited to the character I can't help but think you made it up yourself.

Oh yeah, and the new cover art is most awesome, ner Fand'alor (I spelled it right this time. right?)

Nope, the torso was from a fan's custom armor pic.
The head is a photomanipulation of a promo shot from the game Kane & Lynch, and it is indeed perfectly suited to the character! When I first saw the two promo pics of K&L, I knew instantly that there was something I could do with them, and so I unleashed me l33t ph0t0man1p skillz!

Just finished Chapter 1 C_F, can't wait to have time to dig into the rest.

But the odds were about the same in the Battle of Mandalore, where we have been outnumbered, as well. But we posses the right tactics, and we are not outgunned. We have the advantage of surprise, and we are Mandalorians! This is a guerrilla war, a kind of warfare the scarheads most likely don't know yet, but we will teach them - and we will show them the hard way.



Can't wait for some kick-ash battles between the Mando and the Vong!

Looks like the procrastination of my readers is even greater than my own. Maybe if I can come up with something new, my readers will finally drop in as well...

 

Alright, a little bump because there's some artworks other great fan artists out there did for me, and I don't want to withhold that from my readers.

The first is the illustration of a scene from Chapter 13 (I think?), where Ronan overlooks the battlefield and we see the pyres in the "twilight of dawn". The amazing CucumberBoy drew that for me, he is damn talented, you really have to check out his gallery.

Next up is a finished sketch of my Noghri Mando Kharritokh, drawn by Delta2094 whom I gave some artistic freedom, and he created a kick-ass interpretation of the little bugger.
