    weird thing is in the 90's filmmakers moved over to Super-35 , this meant that when these movies went to video you actually got more image top and bottom.

    It was also great for A New Hope. If memory serves, the final shot of Luke and Han with their medals then pivots over to include Chewbacca for like half a second before the credits roll.

    My old '95 release of ANH actually had the very last shot be in widescreen. As a kid I thought it was really strange that the image became smaller for one shot before the credits.
