Dualling release dates have Random House with an April 2003 release, while Starwars.com has a May 5, 2003 release.

FH2 is coming out this soon? It seems like we just got FH1.

 

It seemed like it would take forever for Refugee to come out, when I got Remnant, but now it seems just like yesterday.

I was wondering when the official thread was going to appear.

I'm thinking either Mara comes in on the Shadow and superheats everything or Jacen pulls a trick out of his magic Force bag.

I'm hoping for some emerald lightning.

The Bakura angle's going to be interesting since except for the Centerpoint Crisis the NR seemed to have completely forgotten about Bakura.

Wonder if Malinza, daughter of Pter Thanas and Gaeriel Captison, is going to be in it. And if she is, I wonder how she's going to react to seeing Han and Leia. Wonder if she holds Luke responsible for the death of her mother. Wonder if the resentment caused her to become anti-Jedi and possibly Peace Brigade sympathetic.

 

She'll probably be in it, but I don't think she'll play any kind of significant role other than for continuity. She's only what, 10 years old?

 

Malinza is, IIRC, exactly Tahiri's age

I still wish Luke had adopted her, but in light of the current galactic situation, perhaps it was for the best that he didn't.

 

I am really looking forward to this novel.

 

I have to wait untill it is published everywhere else in the world b4 i can get it. British book stores are saying FH2 doesnt have any publishing rights in the uk! i have to order an american copy!

 

I really can't wait to read this. Remnant was really good, and this one looks just as good. When's the release date?

 

Randomhouse is saying "April, 2003," which presumably would mean Tuesday, April 29th.

However, the first-look of the novel at Lucasfilm's starwars.com ("the official site"), they have May 5, 2003.

Being that generally, every single NJO novel has been released on a Tuesday, I'd say look for it after the 29th.

Unless someone else knows for sure?

Actually May 6th is a Tuesday, but whatever. Ill look next week and see if its out early like I always do and, like always, I dont expect to find until the 6th. Either way this is one NJO book that Im really looking forward to.

I almost hope it's the later date, because I'm only to Conquest, and I want to read the whole series to FH2 in order, and I know I'll skip ahead if it comes out before I'm to that point.

I agree. I thought Jaina on the Destiny's Way cover was ugly.

I'd really like to see Malinza in this book.


She doesn't bear any resentment that I know of - Luke and Mara sponsored her and visited her when they could. I wish they could have adopted her, but I think she would have been miserable on Yavin.
