Best episode of the series so far for me. Just incredible.

The Anakin - Ahsoka interaction was really powerful, Anakin even sounded like the Son from Mortis when he said "you're selfish", nice touch... also pay attention to the face, and especially the eyes' animation of Ahsoka in the close-ups, downright exceptional.

Frank Oz, JEJ, Jason Isaacs, Matt Lanter and Ashley at their best... all star stuff. wow.

Man this episode was the bomb!

Loved the Grand Inquisitor reveal even though it was so very obvious
Loved the acting in this one by everyone from Oz to FPJ
Loved the music with was excellent this episode
    Malachor here we come!
the Anakin vision worked a lot better then I thought it did which was good.
Also Kanan is now a knight I guess

That Anakin/Tano scene, great. Good music in the episode as well.

I think Ahsoka's fate seems inevitable in the season finale.

"As long as this keeps up, we won't be able to help the rebels establish a base. As long as we're with them." -Kanan

Looks like we have an out.

I thought of that the moment he said that and was like "he is totally going to survive the series"

Just one fans humble opinion but...

I would have preferred Kanan be knighted as Caleb Dume.

    Another great episode.

Loved the Grand Inquisitor's spiritual redemption (my headcanon is that he was the captain of the temple guards, second in command to Cin Drallig). It also occurs to me that in the temple we see visions of Grand Inquisitor at his worst (Ezra's vision of him slaughtering the Ghost crew) and at his best (his aforementioned redemption)

Loved Ahsoka and Ashely Eckstine's wonderful performance as always

So was Yoda's wave to Ahsoka as she fled the temple supposed to be a nod to the grail knight in "Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade"?

Filoni dropped another hint about Ahsoka's fate in Recon by saying something like " its great to be able to tell these stories before the end"

I didn't even think about this but it has to be a nod towards that. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade I mean.

Best episode of the season IMO.I like that the show no longer feels the need to be "kiddie-fied", as if children need to be pandered to because they're not smart enough for more mature stuff (quite the contrary).

My only complaint is I'm feeling that the fall of Ezra is being too heavily hinted....which means if he turns it will seem too obvious, but if he doesn't it will be anti-climatic.

Okay, the season has been rising up after a bout of mediocrity--some interesting and hitting stuff in this episode, especially as we start properly dealing with Ahsoka's mentor becoming, well, what he is. It took me a bit to get used to Yoda's face...it felt a bit too flat, in the literal definition. I also hope we get some salvaging for the two Inquisitors as villains--I mean, when the Sister had a droid atop Kanan's head, felt like an opportune moment to electrocute him as I thought those things could...

Still, good overall. Another downer, though, is that the next episode is unlikely to be another step up.

This episode made me upset and happy at the same time because of how well it was done. The Ahsoka and vader scene was upsetting though.

I've enjoyed every episode this season and don't think it deserves the hate it's been getting, but this episode is definitely my favorite.
I think I'm going to need tissues for the finale. In the words of David Tennant "I don't want [Ahsoka] to go"

Great episode, i wish we get more episodes like this. Anyone catch Anakin saying hes making adjustments to form 4? I thought Anakin uses form 5, especially since he showed its for blaster deflection?

There is no evidence of any redemption nor was there any actions of redemption on his part before he killed himself instead of facing Vader's wrath and the embarrassment of being defeated by a novice Padawan. The visions were created by Yoda to teach and get Kanan from point A to point B.

Overall, one of my favorite episodes of the series. Very emotional scene with Ashoka and Anakin. I also loved her looking back at Yoda, very nice touch.

Two minor negative thoughts. Anakin/Ashoka meeting after her leaving the jedi order takes away from that scene in TCW where she left Anakin. Adding a second departure from Anakin that we'll probably never see seems silly IMO. Why take away from such a great moment all SW fans have seen and add in a new scene that we never even saw? We can guess, but why should we when the scene was already well played out?

Secondly, Why would the inquisitors just walk toward Kanan and Exra as they're hanging off a cliff? Why not use a force push or run to them quickly? If I was tracking people around the galaxy for months with a Sith lord who was sick of my failure I wouldn't just casually walk toward my enemy hanging off a cliff watching them pull each other up. At this point, they should be desperate to kill them. Also, it is disappointing we keep seeing these two inquisitors but they have no back story or character growth. Theyre just one dimensional villains who are there to fight the heroes only for them to escape. They mentioned in the last rebel recons (in reference to Kallus) that they don't like using one dimensional villains, yet every time we see these inquisitors they just keep trying to kill the heroes only for them to escape. There has been no development between the two of them, others in their order, or what drives them. Why are they the fifth and seventh sister? Why are they the only two who keep tracking the jedi? If there is a bunch of them, why keep sending the same two? It doesn't make sense. I know from the trailer a third is supposed to join them soon, but still. This episode really made them feel like vacant lackeys who just fight them while the characters banter away.

On a side note, Rebels recon and the episode guide really annoyed me. The person who wrote the episode guide should be fired. They spelt "Malachor" as "Malacore" and they referred to Ashoka as a "twi'lek". REALLY!? *shakes head*
Also in this week's Rebels Recon, **** POTENTIAL SPOILER*********
Filoni basically confirmed once again this the end for Ashoka. WHY!?? It makes no freaking sense. Not only have they barely touched her character this season, she has SO much room to grow as a character after her confrontation with Vader. Not to mention she brings in a lot of viewers from TCW (like myself) and is a cash cow. Why just kill her off so fast? UGH! Sometimes I have to wonder what goes through the producers minds during some of their thought process

I left a 9/10 grade for the episode, but still had questions about it. First off; yes, we get that the writing crew wanted to emphasize that Ahsoka has come to terms with the notion that she's no longer a Jedi - which is why she knew she wouldn't be able to use the Force to open the Temple. But fast forward to later on in the episode, and the two Inquisitors open it anyway. Um...ok? So they're more Jedi than Ahsoka is? I don't really get the whole spiritual thing with the Jedi temple to begin with. Ahsoka isn't a Jedi, but yet she could still hone to the Force and speak with Anakin through her mind. Those Jedi Guards who were exclusively present for Kanan only are now real enough to take on the Inquisitors.

Oh and by the way, I thought the initial fight between Kanan, Ezra and the two Inquisitors was a little absurd. You could count about three or four times where there's a weird pause in the action when the Inquisitors easily had the upper hand and could've offed both of the Jedi immediately.

I think the difference with opening the temple was in their approaches. As Jedi, Kanan and Ezra were at peace, and could act in harmony with the temple as they opened it. By contrast, you can clearly see Sis and Bro struggling with opening the temple, and as a result of both that and their connection to the dark rather than the light the temple's opening is flawed and creates the cave-ins we see.

If Kanan and Ezra are at peace, and Sis and Bro are connected to the dark; where does that leave Ahsoka?

Well if her vision is any indication, she's got some serious inner conflict going on right now. She probably figures she might as well not try to interact with the temple directly lest she disturb it somehow.

Or it could just simply being a matter of respect. She knows it's a Jedi temple, and she shouldn't open it because she's not a Jedi anymore.

To me, the inner conflict didn't really present itself until the vision itself. I think her comment on how she wasn't a Jedi signified the decision to not open the Temple with Kanan as a matter of respect and recognition that she has left that life behind. Being a Jedi is obviously no longer her path in that regard.

Another awesome one. Lots of heavy stuff here.

Me thinks Malachor is going to be a high risk place considering what Yoda told Ezra before sending him. And the last Dathomirian is hanging out there.

And the Fifth Brother's reaction to the Grand Inquisitor is priceless. I bet he was thinking "Uh... sorry we were trying to undermine each other and the Imperial army to take your place."
