Doesn’t anyone else find it weird how when Ahsoka slashes Vader’s helmet it didn’t scar his face or anything?Felt like the pilot armor he had was kinda dumb usually a hit like that should kill him.

If she'd scarred his face it would raise the question of why no matching scar was visible when Luke took his mask off at the end of ROTJ.

Actually, if they'd had her slash his mask/face in a different location, across the top of his head, it could have matched up with one of the scars Vader is seen to have during the mask-removal scene. But then we wouldn't have got that nice shot of his damaged mask framing his eye, which was what they were going for in that scene, so... we got what we got.

Though Anakin had visible eyebrows in this episode on the Death Star he had none since they were burned off.

That was a conscious case of artistic license.

Indeed, its all artistic license I believe. Where did the missing part of Vader´s helmet go, did it melted to nothing in a second, was it cut off and fell later... the idea of this, I think, was to replicate a popular image from the Purge comic, where Vader got the almost exact same damage by a lightsaber thrown at him. I image the whole point of a helmet is to protect its wearer, so it was never a problem to me...
Exactly. Circumstances change, and really matter. If it wasn't the case, how could Dooku defeat Obi-Wan handily just to be overpowered by Anakin... who in turn lost to Kenobi?
I believe there is logic, for instance, in Ahsoka having trouble with the Fifth Brother on Malachor. The guy was clearly bested the first time and unlike then, he already knows that his targets are with Ahsoka, so chances are he's going to meet her again. Therefore, he trained and prepared accordingly (consulting the Jedi temple archives, just like the GI was established to do), perhaps with Malachor providing a dark side boost too. Makes more sense to me than having the exact same fight twice...

Of course, if GL was still in charge at the time TOTA was made or aired, not only would Ahsoka's strike have scarred him, but then a matching scar would have been CGI'd onto Sebastian Shaw's face in a subsequent re-release of ROTJ.
