By going with the same logic, that applies to the Ghost crew and Grand Admiral Thrawn as well.

My initial reaction to "He Lives!" was Savage. Or Anakin being Vader cause of the twin suns reference. Guess Obi-Wan would make more sense

It's double sided, Maul and Thrawn can't make a big impact on ANH events, since they aren't in the OT, but on the other hand they can still be around after the ANH timeline, while likes of Ben Kenobi and Tarkin can't.

Great great episode! I'm already hooked into the story of this season and can't wait to find out who "He" is. I do think it's Obi-Wan but...

...Pablo saying Maul is trying to build something different from the Sith really has me intrigued. Don't get me wrong I don't think Maul is Snoke but what if "He" is Snoke? I don't think we'll ever see Snoke on this show but maybe some hints at who he is and maybe where the Knights of Ren come from. Perhaps Maul has some hand in creating them.

It will turn out that "him" is actually the Bendu, known to Maul under another name.

I don't think it was that either. He doesn't say it, but I'm starting to believe that those things are a nuisance to him.

If the end game of the season is that he goes insane again as some are speculating, I'm not against it being gradual.

As for the rest, I don't understand what you're talking about, Maul has often been dramatic in his delivery in the past.

My theory is that Sith Holocrons are too rare for Palpatine to have done that. For all we know, that Holocron that Maul and Ezra found is the only one that Palpatine is aware of!

Ezra wanted the key to destroying the Sith, Maul's question was much more free-form.

Sabine was obviously suffering from that weird disorder that affects all gun wielders in Star Wars (at least the animated canon) : they have to run towards the guy with the sword while shooting him. There were lot of examples in Maul's Mandalore arc in TCW.

Really? I thought that the hostage situation was very badly written, but it had nothing to do with Maul and all to do about how Kanan and Ezra handled it. Kanan and Ezra should have gone together to make sure that the crew was okay. Ezra should have asked to see his friends and his master depart the station unharmed before he even thought of helping Maul.

No offense, but that whole line of reasoning doesn't make sense. Maul isn't in the OT, but neither are the main characters of the show. He can maim, kill, corrupt or turn any of them and the OT wouldn't be impacted. In fact, he already did the first of those things! He could rebuild the Dathomirian culture and it wouldn't impact the OT. He could be the one to kill Thrawn in an artistic manner and it wouldn't impact the OT (although fans would probably storm Star Wars HQ with torches and pitchforks). He could be the one to ruin the Empire's plans on Lothal and it wouldn't impact the OT. He could slaughter the empire command of Lothal's fleet and it wouldn't impact the OT. He could take back Mandalore and it wouldn't impact the OT. He could do a lot of very dramatic things in the show without affecting the OT.

Long story shot : Maul not being in the OT doesn't limit his ability to affect the Ghost Crew and the Rebels TV show, it actually increases it!

Never had flexing muscles been so destructive!

That scene was so much fun. Savage and Maul in general were so much fun.

So Snoke is space Jesus confirmed?

Also I forgot to mention that in post before - excellent writing especially when it comes to Maul lines. Pretty much everything that came out of his mouth in this episode was brilliant.
Observation on ghost being like home to the crew, "show me around I INSIST", "Where does one who hides his identity hide his legacy?", "That is a curious smell", "How colorful", "Over here Master Jedi, just follow the sound of my voice" (11/10 on adding insult to injury).
Maul saying that he's searching for hope was really unexpected yet believable - hope to find something to exact his revenge still count as hope, also he sounded so natural while saying that.
And him trying to open the Holocron - I laughed, that kind of behaviour really fits his character and shows how different person can he be at times - on one moment strategy genius who throws sarcastic insults and plays with words like professional writer, on the second one angry beast that will cut his way out of problems.
If we will finally have to say goodbye to him I will miss him a lot, in TPM he was only cool looking warrior, but after what have happened with him in TCW and Rebels he's my favourite darksider by far. And that says a lot because at first I found his "comeback" in TCW completely unnecessary, but his story was the best one in TCW.

Kanan character development 10/10. I know he had his own comic series, his own (kind of) book (New Dawn), but damn, they did amazing job with him.
Also big + for Ezra addressing the issue of why Yoda sent them to Malachor.
Kanan telling Ezra not to blame himself - it wasn't maybe that emotional like Ahsoka leaving the order, but it was also really great moment and a lot of feelings expressed and invoked in such short scene. 40s from Kanan telling Ezra that he had to learn seeing things differently to a hug, yet none of that felt rushed, and Bendu smile was on point.

One more thing - Bendu is liar. "Once a secret is known, it cannot be unknown" - so uhm... what was Anakin learning about his future and getting that knowledge wiped out in Mortis arc if not exactly that?
    Me - Filloni 1:0.

The episode was so good, the script, the animations it was terrific, the scenes where Ezra and Kanan are on the bike looking for Bendu were very well done, the light effect on them was amazing, but let's get to it:

    Maul:
It's clearly that 'he lives' is about Obi-Wan, for Maul Obi-Wan is hope because he knows that he's skilled enough to defeat the Emperor, Maul has tried a lot of things in the past: Savage, Night Sisters, Mother talzin, Death Watch, and none of them work it, so he sees an ally in Obi-Wan, the Rebels are dispensable for him, he only cares about Ezra.

It's clear that he will go to Tatooine to find Obi and explain him his plan, but I think that Obi-Wan will reject it.

    Ezra:
He's obviously more powerful but still on the edge, he's repeating the same mistakes as Anakin on AOTC, he cares about his friends and he's looking for revenge and death, that's why he could take is eyes off the holocron/vision, hopefully he will turn to the dark side at the end of the season and then go gray on S4.

The vision was as you all already know Tatooine but I think that he also saw glimpses of Hoth, Bespin and maybe even Endor, his question was very specific so the holocron showed glimpses of key points about how to defeat them, I didn't saw Leia because he already knows her, I don't think I saw Luke neither.

They won't go crazy looking up planets, they will keep doing missions and I guess that at some point they will go to Tatooine and Ezra should connect the points and remember his vision, therefore they will met Ben.

Very rad episode, I thought that without Ashoka and the Inquisitors the show might will felt weird but no, Maul is a great character, Ezra 2.0 and Kanan 2.0 injected new life into the crew, they need to add a new member to the crew and dispatch one.

And what ever happened to the new droid from 2x21❓

Two suns...he lives...the Sith Holocron was combined with one with this message:

Maul is obviously referencing Jar Jar. When did Maul first glimpse Jar Jar? Tatooine, a planet with two suns. Who was Jar Jar's bff? Obi Wan, the same guy on Kanan's holocron. Because Jar Jar is from Naboo, he likely has a backdoor key to one of Palpatine's resorts, making him the key to destroying the Sith.

Beware of the dark side of Money, bigger budget makes both animation prettier (for audiences) and cancelling series easier (for decision-makers). A good balance is needed and maybe these Rebels are the ones to bring it :p

Maul is going after Obi-Wan as per the "Twin Suns" comment. which probably mean he might discover Luke and all hell will break loose in Tatooine at least for the foreseeable future.
