No need to brainwash. I can see Barriss on some silly quest for redemption or maybe revenge. She's convince fighting the Empire or even fighting for it is something she had to do.

 

This she is doing it for revenge or a weird way of redemptions.

 

Particularly weird since I tend to be really hard on characters redeeming themselves. Barriss is one of those cases where she can try as damn hard as she likes and its never gonna be enough.

 

I bet even Sheev put one into himself to test it out. He never took it out and he accidentally started training young boys who look scary.

I just went back and watched that episode in TCW that Cham Syndulla was in in season 1. And in it there were two little Twi'lek girls as well. I'm sure the idea for the character of Hera originated from those two little Twi'lek girls but I'm not sure either one is meant to be her. One obviously is not because I think she was given a name and that name was Luna if I remember right. The other one could have been Hera however her skin color was different so I'm not sure that was meant to be her either.

 

It says on wookiepedia that Cham is her uncle

Also in A New Dawn Hera remembers the separatist occupation of Ryloth from when she was a girl

 

What would that make hera? 25?

Younger then what I first thought she would be. Then again, "little girl" can mean anything under 13 I guess.

 

Yeah that episode was in season 1 of TCW and that I believe was considered to be in the first year of the war. So that would mean it was about 17 years or so before the Rebels show began. So yes Hera would be mid twenties as those two little girls (which the idea for Hera was probably based off of even if she isn't directly supposed to be one of those girls) were about seven or eight in the episode.

This is a question suited for the TCW thread, but with the eu gone, is the war still 2 years? I'd say it would be 3 from the looks of TCW.

 

I personally thought when seeing her charater design and how her voice sounded that she was older than that as well. But I think she has been given an official age of about mid twenties range and that would line up with those two little girls from the TCW episode.

Was the character of Sabine inspired by a TCW character as well? More specifically that season 5 arc where they went in and started to train groups to fight the separatists on their own? Wasn't there a character in that arc that had a similar name and likeness to Sabine from Rebels?

 

No. I don't think so.

Unless your talking about Steela? Because they are nothing alike. Sabine is her own character.

 

Sabine sounds a lot like Satine

 

Oh I was thinking of Bo-Katan. I was wrong on her name though but she does look a lot like Sabine and she is Mandalore as well.

They do sorta look alike. And Sabine's helmet is a modified Nite Owl one.
