You have more proof of her death than say, Plo Koon.

We're not going to start the "Plo Koon did an awesome somersault jump thing out of his Jedi starfighter and flew to safety" theory again, are we? (Considering the film clearly implies he's dead before he crashes)

No, Plo died very explosively. But evn onscreen we see Aayla's dead body being shot to pieces, and we dont't see that of Plo. So its even more proved on screen that she is dodo'd, even before RoF.

Okay then. I don't know what Reversal of Fortune is, so I'll take the given word for it.

ROF is the webstrip. And, yeah, it pretty much proves Aayla is super dead.

Here's a shrunken, cropped image (since it's hyperspace material).

    Beaten, yet damn alive....

    and pissed....

No, you see her body shot about 12 times.

no, you saw Bly firing about 12 shots under a plant. we don't see her body.

however, we do see the body in Reversal of Fortune, so it's a moot point.

Man, I gotta find some way to read RoF. Is Hyperspace for anyone who has subscribed to Star Wars Insider or is it seperate? I have a friend who has a subscription and if that means he can use Hyperspace I may be able to read ROF.

Yeah, I know that. But that pic makes it look like Bly and the other troops did that for the whole rest of the movie. I mean, it brings new meaning to the word "overkill", don't you think?

From that picture, Quin looks awesome. I wonder if he'll get off Kashyyyk.

why Aayla looks like a man.. idont even know.. nor wanna go there. (bad bad thoughts go away)

as far as the clones continuing to fire.. just following rule #1 which Cody didnt seem to follow
"Always make sure thier dead" (Hard Contact)

and if Koon survived his fighter explosion. i say Porkins lived through the death star run.

and to keep it on topic, quin looks pissed and kinda blowed up.. i hope he bumps into Bly on felucia and chops him up like freddy kruger.

Glad to see Quin's gonna get a little more time in the SW universe!

Aayla's death as depicted in RoF turned me off to any interest in reading the follow-up. Okay, I get it, she's dead. I knew that from watching the movie. I accept it but I don't have to like it. Making it more gruesome only pours salt on the wound and makes me angry. It's like spitting on someone's grave

Anyway, looking forward to "The Hidden Enemy." Hope DH gets back on track in terms of releasing on time...

Im pretty sure the idea of making Aayla really REALLY dead was to stop endless cries of OMG AAYLA DIDNT DIE

I'm sure it was, but it was right there on screen. People would have accepted it eventually. And if they didn't, that's what fanfic is for.

As an Aayla fan, I just didn't like getting stomped on while I was already down.

No, people would never have accepted it. After all, this thread has shown that some people thought she could have survived in the film. And fanboys are notoriously difficult to reason with. Theyre like mynocks.

Well, I accepted it, and I don't think that makes me any less a fan of the character. She's my favorite from the Prequel EU.

But dedication to a character (or show or whatever) I do understand. Hence my suggestion for AU fanfiction for those who would like to wish she hadn't died.

Grow up, characters die. And often gruesomely. Don't be a baby and whine just because your favourite character got what was coming to her. How do you think a body would look after it got shot multiple times by a high-powered blaster? It was pictured in RoF just to stop stupid fanboys from saying Aayla didn't die.

    >>Man, I gotta find some way to read RoF. Is Hyperspace for anyone who has subscribed to Star Wars Insider or is it seperate? I have a friend who has a subscription and if that means he can use Hyperspace I may be able to read ROF.<<

If you're in the US, any subscription to SW Insider/the Fanclub should be bundled with Hyperspace access (they e-mail you an access code you use to activate your online access- so your friend might have to do that if he hasn't already).

Outside the US they don't come together due to various different international magazines, but HS access can be purchased seperately for internationals.

    >>She got shot. Several times. At point-blank range.<<

    >>I mean, it brings new meaning to the word "overkill", don't you think?<<

Nope, "overkill" in that comic is, despite her looking like that after all they did to her, Bly saying "Check her" [face_laugh]

    >>I wish theyd do that with Mace tbh<<

I can just see if now- similar to the scene in Con Air, we have Magaloof flying around, wiping a bug off his window as the body of Mace comes crahing down on his speeder. (man I so wish I had used that in my WTS submission!)

    On a slight philisophical tangent:
If you saw in a comic the body of K'khruk utterly ruined like that in a comic, would anybody *really* believe he was dead?

No, but K'Kruhk is a special circumstance- Aayla hasn't "died" three times before, nor does she have a groovy Whipid healing trance, and I'm almost certain she's not carrying around basic medical siupplies like ol' Krooky is ::)

(which is why I'm positive my sig quote will come true one day ;) )

Thats why i said a philisophical tangent. Its like the 'if a tree falls and nobody can hear it' type thing.

But more 'If a whipid dies and nobody believes it, is he really dead?'
