    To bhertowens,

I might try and work on that ship this weekend. I'm definitely not asked skilled as some other guys around this forum, but that looks to be a fairly simple project.

The key is to get really good reference pictures, that show each side in detail. Unfortunately, they've been tough to find. I found one side view, and one top view. Might have to make do with those.

Nep, I play star wars galaxies, I can get you detailed photos of every angle. Would you like me to do that for you? I can get nearly 1680x1050 sized photos of all the angles.

That would be great. If you could get a top, bottom, left, right, front, back, and perspective view in high resolution, the model will be a lot easier to accurately construct. I mainly, just need a front, back and side view, just in case you can't get the others. The other views are mainly just for texture referencing, assuming I can make the textures for it. I myself have done much UV texturing, so it the final phase may take a while.

Im gonna take better shots of the ones that have the engine on it also. It is kinda tough to line up a good shot in space, heh. But here are some shots, hope they work ok. thanks.

I'd be happy to help with the textures. I am good with photoshop. but Laying out the UV's, I dont have much experience with.

I use 3DS Max. I have access to Maya through the Michigan Engineering, but I don't have nearly as much experience with Maya as I do 3DS Max. Plus, from my experiences, 3DS Max is great for architecture, vehicles, etc., while Maya is more suited towards fine polygon modeling, like character modeling.

Hey there folks. I'm searching for someone who's interested in working on animating a brief spaceship sequence for a film I'm shooting this summer. I guarantee the film will be completed because it's a film school project and I can't continue with my masters if I don't shoot it! I realize what I'm asking for is not simple and would most definitely take a lot of work, but I'm willing to discuss some payment options etc. The film will be shot on Super16 on sound stages at Florida State's Film School with full crew etc. Contact me by PM or email soon! It will alleviate my worries.

    Cheers,
    Eric Clark

    Hi all,

If I'm not wrong this is the right place to make some requests...

I'm looking for a concept artist with a good imagination and a good understanding on how space ships may work to realize some sketches that would be used for a small space fighting game I'm currently working in (game design & programming) for Windows and the Xbox 360.

The game background would be quite complex to expose in here but I'm looking for some raw industrial space ship designs, nothing really flashy but dusty, used space ships that have been created more with a Functional aspect than Design... It doesn't necessarily means they should still be ugly... just realistic... ;)

I'm not going the huge project from start as I'm on my own and it's a hobby project (I still work in the game industry so I know how difficult is a game to develop). But I have some great ideas for future features: for now, I'm just aiming to produce a shiny and pleasant 3d space shooting game with a movie like animated camera (travelings, zooms, field of depths...) included as part of the overall gameplay.

So, if you have any interest in helping a small guy producing this game, feel free to contact me to my personal email philippe.dasilva@mac.com.

    Thank you for reading.

    Philippe

Hi everyone this is my first post here on the forums, and I hope someone could read this and help me out a bit. This summer my friends and I will start filming our Star Wars Fan Film. I have spent countless hours learning how to rotoscope, and what not, but I have come to realize that when it comes to the 3d work that needs to get done I have zero experience. So I have come here to seek help, and hopefully get someone to volunteer on this project. Basically I need help with a few space shots which are pretty simple and straight forward, and a few shots where I need to incorporate probe droids into live action shots. Hopefully I can find some help here, because I want this thing to come out great.

If anyone is interested PM me or contact me at HSK97@aol.com

This is my first post and I could really use these models for my fan film (I literally have no budget, so it's more like a wish than a request)

    (all from the KotOR games)
    sith trooper
    sith war droid
    HK-47
    T3-M4
    Ebon Hawk (interior and exterior)
    blasters (pistols and rifles)
vibroblades/sith swords (double or single blades)
any models of Revan or the exile

    preferably in .3DS format

Thanks to anyone who even considers making this
