Did I ever tell you guys how scary Zam Wessell was to me? I was so disturbed as a kid from watching that. When her face changed, I literally was like "Yo, this **** is fuked." Only thing from SW that traumatized me.....before ROTS. :p

Aw, poor youngling Del. :) I'd have thought The Tuscan Affair would've been the scariest part for kids. [face_thinking]

I'm guessing you didn't have this figure as a kid then.....;)

If I'd seen AOTC when it came out, based on my fascination/horror w/ET & aliens in general when I was a kid, I'd have probably been both scared & awed by the Kaminoans. :p

LOL oh man. I got some chills from my spine when I saw that [face_laugh] Clawdites are so spooky imo. :p The Kaminoans were pretty cool imo. :p

I understand you. I've been through that so many times. I've never lived with Latinos though. :p Believe me, that kind of people are everywhere, regardless of ethnicity, sex, class, age, whatever. That's just how it is. But good thing is there are also many wonderful people out there who can appreciate you for what you are and who can be thankful to have you as their friend. :)

If anything would have scared me about Star Wars in my youth, it would have been Palpatine in ROTJ. He seriously looked like a zombie to me back then, plus his voice sounded like something that would give me nightmares for a week straight.

Pretty good. Trying to do research for a presentation, not being very successful. :p
Indeed it is. You have finished what you started. :kylo:

How was it? I didn't even know they made that into a book lol. Shouldn't come as a surprise to me though. [face_laugh] Oh SW.

So I watched Rebels Episode 2, S3 and I really hope for a showdown between Maul and Obi-Wan like the Old Visionaries story. If they go that route, I want Obi-Wan to be the one who takes him down and not Uncle Owen. That was so anti climatic

Geez, cause we can't let Uncle Owen have a moment to shine, now can we? o_O

:p I agree; If anyone should take Maul out its Obi Wan. Ring theory at it finest, back to where it all began for Maul. (Literally, since he first fought Qui on Tatooine.)

Though I still like the idea of him just surviving through all of this. Poor Maul. [face_laugh]

Do we know how long his species lives? For all we know he could still be alive, out there somewhere. :p

So I went to the shops (UKer so Americans this won't apply to you).

Wh Smiths didn't have it in their system and said they didn't know if they would receive it at all but if I wanted I could check back later on in the week, otherwise they recommended I just get it from Amazon. They have the EBook on their website but not the physical book.

I tried Waterstones as well. They hadn't got it in their system but could order it in for me, giving the reason that "the book doesn't have a UK publisher" and so they said they could order it in from America but this would take several weeks. I told them Amazon had it and that they could deliver this week and they told me to buy from there if I wanted it this week.

The publisher in the UK should be Egmont? Same as Lost Stars.
It seems Amazon themselves are importing it from Europe but I can still get hold of it- no delivery date but Tuesday release so should arrive at least by the end of the week but I'm thinking it will be here Tuesday. Amazon also gave me £5 off so I was happy about that.

    < rant time>

I know this is meant to be "Young Adult" and they are trying to appeal to a different audience but what for? If you can't get a book out on release date you lose sales, simple as that. It would make more sense to just use Del Rey who has normally without fail released books everywhere on time. I don't know the figures but sales will definitely be hurt if a book/audiobook isn't available.

SW in the UK- this drives me crazy, why can't LF and license holders actually manage to deliver the same stuff for America to the UK. The rest of the world has the same problem but I can't talk for them). We let LF film here and give them a Tax break so why can't we get the same stuff? I know there is various "deals and negotiations" but again if your product isn't available, we can't buy it easily. TCW Lost Missions DVD/Blu Ray for instance still hasn't been released. I know I can order from Amazon and import it but I shouldn't have to do that.

Hasbro- I don't even know what's going on anymore with that. In my area (and I've not heard otherwise from other parts of the country) product has come to a standstill for the past year at the least but certain stuff before then is still literally rotting on shelves. ASDA has been near useless trying to get their exclusive (Walmart's in America) line- wave three still hasn't turned up-. On the plus side Rogue One stuff has been moving really well with most of Wave One 5poa gone! It only released a week ago!. Wave Two is stocked in greater numbers too. The Six inch have barely moved though.

Bottom line, sort it out and stop with the endless delays and generally abysmal business in the UK and the rest of the world.

I look forward to reading the book.

I was thinking that earlier too. [face_laugh]

But that would be so sad; like he literally got the life sucked out of him, since he's just a grey giant with a mashed up face.

Maul deserves better a better ending than that lol. :p

EDIT: Ooh, My 4,666th post. [face_devil]

    Uhm UK store report.
TRU, this time I was actually surprised (it's been a long time since I've said that about collecting!). The 5poa Wave One had completely cleared that was released just over a week ago. In it's place was Wave Two already! That I guess is both good news and bad news. Krennic looks great but I don't collect this wave.
The Six inch on the other hand hadn't really been touched, the deathtroopers went by FF when I got there sometime in the afternoon. They hadn't really changed as far as I could tell.
It seems R1 has picked up the state of collecting but only for itself. TRU is still swimming in TBS Bastila's (Insane that TVC was rare!), Toryn's, Dak's. plus other assorted rubbish. Once the really old stuff goes cheaper I may pick it up just to have it. I'm tempted to pick up the 10 or so Bastila's and the many Toryn's and then sell it on to people who wanted it. Is that immoral? Of Course with the money I'll then buy the figures that NEVER turned up for inflated prices or try and score some TVC. Or the new stuff that still hasn't and likely won't turn up now- the Ahsoka/Kanan wave for instance is nowhere.

They also had tonnes of New Hot Wheels, who seem to be on the ball and able to release new product. I really like some of their stuff.

Maybe just maybe ASDA will have Wave Three of TBS?

I watched that for about a minute and then when it was clear that she actually hadn't watched TPM in a long time if ever, gave up. Obviously Padme was not in love with him when he was 9. So dumb.

Also we all know the actual triangle is with Anakin and Obi-Wan, which is way more interesting.

Jedi Knight Fett Well, she certainly tried. But no. :p That only makes things more confusing when watching them, and makes no sense.

Though I do recall reading somewhere that there was an idea of creating a love triangle between Obi, Padme & Ani in ROTS, but it was pretty much discarded. The few (extremely subtle, only there if you squint) remnants are the few scenes w/Padme & Obi in ROTS. [face_dunno]

Also, I've always thought the age gap between Padme & both Obi & Ani was about the same:
    5 years - Obi = 19, Padme = 14, Ani = 9 [face_dunno]

Although I'd never realized before that Padme grabs Obi's leg/thigh in that scene in the Battle of Geonosis. [face_hypnotized] Her best piece of evidence imo, but still not enough. :p
