I can't do it. I just cannot give The Amazing Spider-Man 2 my full attention. It hurts my soul. And I have a headache now because of it. That is when you know you have found something truly awful.

 

I'm really testing the bounds of decency in this thread.

 

When Eves and I move into that retirement home together, will you promise to come with? We can play canasta and talk about boys.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is my favorite Spider-man movie. *runs and hides under a table*

 

It's terrible. especially the line where the electric guy says "Its my birthday, time to light my candles"...............when I heard they were making the Amazing Spiderman, I was not excited at all because SM1&2&3 are absolutely fantastic and I knew Amazing Spiderman couldnt ever capture that greatness. Plus Andrew Garfield does not fit how Peter Parker's character is supposed to be. Tobey Maguire on the other hand, nailed it.....Amazing Spiderman1&2 was just a big cash grab

I liked the Amazing series more - Garfield nailed it for me whereas Maguire was merely OK.

We've got a lot of different opinions about Spiderman movies here in this thread.. Was Spiderman 3 over the top? Yes , I will admit it was. But I still liked it. Amazing Spiderman 1&2 on the other hand got a thumbs down from me. It took a lot of convincing from my friend to go see Amazing Spiderman while it was in theaters and I refused to see it until the final week of it. And then when Amazing Spiderman 2 came out, I never went to see it and I just saw it a few months ago to see if it was as bad as I thought it was. I'll admit Amazing Spiderman wasnt terrible but it wasnt good to me so I guess I can give it a middle-thumb and not go down or up.

 

I will say, there hasn't been a Spider-man movie I've loved yet. I think Marvel Studios could definitely deliver that though! They're seriously geniuses over there.
